How long is enough to be sure that I am REBOOTED?

    Hey,

How long do I need to stay clean to say that I am totally rebooted?
I know that probably everyone has a particular rebooting time, but is there an average?

I watched on a video that our brains starts to make a solid change in about 30 days, and a complete new neural pathway is formed on the 90th day.

    It's a life time practice.

Yes, the 30 and 90 day thing is true, but just like alcoholics and drug addicts, to really leave the addiction and come in peace with it takes years.

So don't go back to old behaviors after the 90 days :p

Just to let you know, Gary Wilson suggests allowing 7-9 months to reboot, based on anecdotal evidence from guys posting on his site.

In that case, I very much agree with Gary Wilson. I've been rebooting for around 8 months now with only a handful of setbacks (most of those minor setbacks) and even though I am finally able to have sex somewhat successfully, I don't consider myself even remotely close to being recovered. Very deeply ingrained neurological pathways can take up to 2 years to remove completely afaik.

The 90day rule is stupid in so many ways. When I hit my 90th day I was still flatlining hard if I remember correctly. We all have unique PMO histories, brain structures, and prior sexual histories that make it impossible to give an accurate estimation as to how long a reboot will take.

Your goal should be to never again watch porn and masturbate, but imo you should try go for a long period without any ejaculation (i know that involuntary ejac. is hard to controll, but do all that you can to avoid wet dreams)

You need to save all the semen, so that the body and mind can regenerate. and if you are really serious about NoFap, then the real battle should be how to avoid wet dreams (involuntary ejac.)

"whenever the seminal secretions are conserved and thereby reabsorbed into the system, it goes towards enriching the blood and strengthening the brain."

"All waste of spermatic secretions, whether voluntary or involuntary, is a direct wastage of the life-force."

"According to Taoist Sexual Practices, your body will begin to regenerate. Your semen is POTENT life-force energy. That is why it is so important to hold onto it! So yes, overtime, you will not only “recover”, you will “regenerate”."

    Thanks guys!
Of course I don't want to ever be back in this addiction, but I wasn't expecting it to take so long to recover.

Wet dreams will happen eventually if you have a long history of PMO. Doesn't matter how hard you fight them. Accept them rather than fight them, they are much less harmful than a regular orgasm. I went 52 days hardmode without a wet dream. Then one morning it happened. A week later, the damage isn't noticable. Focus on what's really important; quitting PMO. Cut out sex too if you want a strong reboot.

And yes, it will take much longer than you expect. Keep this in mind: It takes a long time to repair years of damage. It takes one night to delay it.

Yowch, this is hard news but screw it.

I'd rather suffer crucifixion than suffer the stupidity of PMO.
