How much would you pay to stay clean?

If I took all the hours and literal days spent on this addiction and translated them to work hours, even at minimum wage, I would be in a higher tax bracket. Go with it as long as you can afford it, I say.

 

Not a numerical number but simply put I would give my right arm, right here and now to be done with this crap.

 

If I can stay clean for money, lets say I will pay 1/3 of my salary

I'm 14, and I have no money.
But--- I'd probably give about $500 for it...
(Which is a lot for me)

For the married guys, I recently read a good divorce lawyer will cost between $8200 and $13800. That does not include alimony, child support, fees, etc.

I know most of us got addicted for free, but rarely (like 2-5% of the time) will someone get free for...free.

If paying an amount of money would guarantee that I would never masturbate to porn again, I'd give all the money I have. The thing is it's not just getting clean, going 90 days, not having orgasm till marriage etc. It's that I could be clean for decades and then I slip just one time, and I'm right back in my addiction. To get rid of that is worth every penny I own (which admittedly isn't much lol, but you get the idea).

 

That’s a good question. So you are noticing that it’s costing you to stay clean. Thats now but as you gain control of your urges and find ways to use that sexual energy on other things you will notice that the cost is close to nothing. You end up making money because of staying clean and not paying to stay clean. If going to a coffee shop(and spending money) is what it takes to stay clean so be it! Just plan to gradually be able to be on your own and control your urges. Going to the coffee shop is a way to control your urges. You’ll find other ways that dont cost money.

To answer your question. I dont think I would pay to stay clean. But thinking about it it does cost. It’s a good thing that you notice it’s costing you money. You have the power to change that though. Best of luck to you!

 

I would pay all that I have and own to get rid of this addiction and I'm not even bluffing. This addiction has cost me so much in my life, I wish I never got to use the internet. One thing I have realized to beat this addiction is that we need to be willing to give up our pride. If we sacrifice our pride and seek help in church,help groups or anywhere then we can find healing.

The sad part is that you don't even realize how bad it is until you're over it. So 7 years ago when i first discovered nofap my former addict self would've said "i'll pay 100$ to have this magically solved, it's no big deal", then once i noticed how tough it is after failing to quit for 1-2 years i would've said "ok, i should've paid 500$ the first time".

Now, knowing how bad it was and how severely it fucked up my life, i would've paid thousands of dollars 7 years ago.

 

The thing is just like any other bad habit or thought, none other than you can get over it, putting a price or giving an arm and a leg for it, mostly doesn't solve the real problem, find an AP guys it works better.

 

Ok, so I have a client who spent $70K for an inpatient clinic. I have other clients spending 6-10K on weekend intensives. Then they have to spend more when they get home to continue in their treatment.
