It didn't go so badly. We mostly talked about normal stuff. I embarrassed myself by gorging on food and started moaning (something that I don't really have control over) but fortunately he didn't seem to care. However he wasn't looking to date anyone.

he didn’t try to kiss you or anything? Is he really religious or something? That’s why he doesn’t want to date? Did he say why he doesn’t want to date? Do you still like him after spending time with him?

See the problem is not anxiety or that you panic around men I think the problem is that you don't have respect for yourself, porn casues the effect of seeing yourself worthless and not capable of anything it also diminishes your confidence. Abstain and you wil experience it yourself!

No. He just recently broke up with an ex and didn't want to date anyone. I think I just want to be friends with him and look elsewhere for dating.

Nah you have it backwards. I have anxiety and panic around men and so I've resorted to porn for that type of pleasure. ...I've probably actually consumed more porn when it comes to women, because my social skills around women are worse, and I think I've only met a handful of gay women in my life.

The idea is to date a person that make you have a great nigth.. not just average like this one.

Translation... he wasn't looking to date *you*. He wasn't interested.. from the start, he just went along with it to go out and not be along after the break up, but he wasn't into you. He uses you just to go out, woman do the same stuff. Just accept it and move on.

I can bet you that if a woman he find attractive ask him out for a date, he will be magically ready to date again. Is the same with woman, woman tell guys that they are not looking to date anyone.. as an excuse to reject the guy without been direct, as men do the same. Is a polite way to reject a person, but the reality is that they are not into you. Some people buy this crappy excuse and keep going out with them in hopes they get ready to date in the future, but what happens in the end is that they show up with another person they are dating.

Been desperate to not be alone is going to make you be with guys like this that don't have any interest in you, just not to be alone.

I really suggest you to get your shit together first, been desperate for other people is going to maje you settle for crappy date or people just not te be lonely.

Don't chase him. You've texted, he knows you're there. If he doesn't get back to you, his loss

    Hi @Yamper

I'm a guy and I can relate to your OP. The best advice I can give is to live your life the best you can. Learn to talk to people in general.

I echo others in saying to move on from that guy you hung out with. Find group activities to get involved in. The more people you talk to the better. Eventually something will click.
