I need some diversional therapy at night. I come from work late and just before bed is the time I get urges to fap. I avoid any kind of stimulation like TV, phone, and computer. It's just laying in bed trying to fall asleep is what's hard. What are some of the ways you guys deal with this?

This Sexual urge is like a bully. You have to override the feeling with something that influences everything other than sex. Before bed I'd usually do 8 sets of ten push ups. I put on my boxing gloves and spare for like 1 1/2 minutes at a time. Then when I lay down I focus on my breathing and cut off all thoughts until I'm sleep. I hope this helps.

  3. 1)Close your eyes and take a deep breath and count to 1 to ( till you can possibly hold breath) and relax and do this again and again till you feel good
    2) remember what pmo did to your life ..
How it affected in your personal life , academic studies , etc and build hatredness towards it
    3) read Bible ( if you are Christian )
    4) help people in NoFap
    5)listen to your favourite songs
    6) read some positive stories
    7) try to solve riddles
    8) TRY TO SOLVE RUBIK'S CUBE IN DIM LIGHT
    9) Pray to God
Note : if you need to overcome from pmo you need to have faith in God
If my tricks didnt help you I'm sorry :)

  4. I used to be so bad at this. Staying up late in bed with my iPad was never going to be a good idea. Although I’m doing hard mode right now and I have flatlined so I have no desire to do anything. The best approach would be to just shut off everything and go to sleep but that’s not easy for everyone to do not at first anyway.

My bedtime routine is the iPad but I don’t use it for porn anymore! I like to listen to music, watch something funny on Youtube, read the news check out social media. And I have a few games I play like Clash Royale. Eventually you will just be too tired to do anything and you will have to sleep that’s what is working for me right now. Plus, I know I have work in the morning I can’t stay up too late. Best scenario is to just switch off though im working towards that because we need our sleep. But short term I think its ok better to do anything but the porn and all of those things are distractions that will take your mind off it.

Another thing which will really benefit you is doing affirmations before bed. I have an app called ThinkUp (google it). You use your own voice to create positive affirmations this will help in all aspects of your life especially nofap. Google affirmations to learn more about their benefits.

Brother, think about how much lucky you are to have a sleep on bed. There are some people in the world who can not even afford to have a house and bed.

Best way to avoid and/or deal with urges is to keep yourself busy and pre-occupied. From personal experience, this is how I avoid any relapses.

Life can seem very boring without PMO. This is my first attempt and it's difficult not to look at images late at night before bed like I used too. Even fitness youtube videos make me horny (male and female) so many sexual images I have to remove from my brain after after 20 years of PMO. 26 Day Reboot isn't going to erase that as quickly as I would like.

I try to read some good literature before going to bed. It helped me to divert my thoughts from all the messy stuff going on inside my head.

However some days I have to stay really strong because the urges bombard me like crazy and I can’t even concentrate on my book. Those are the times we have to stay really strong to beat it.

Reading is definitely helping me. Reaching for the phone is just your subconscious brain looking for cheap short dopamine fixes on facebook, etc. Focusing on one thing (book) is the best way to increase memory, learning and concentration.
