Set a stopwatch instead of a timer. This way when you come out of mediation you just open your eyes and write down how long you where in meditation. i myself cant make it past 8 minutes lately. Its pathetic compared to where I was 2 years ago when I was living a very spiritual life and was involved with a Buddhist group. Its sad, I got completely "off the rails" and became an alcoholic/drug addict and burned all my bridges, lost my job. Sigh
Now trying to rebuild my life from ground zero. Every day is a struggle to not want to drink or to suicide myself. I have no friends and the prospect of a girlfriend is at least 6 months away. My plans for Halloween are: stay home and stare out the window that kids wont egg my house or key my car
