Many people say meditation realy helps on a reboot. This is a basic explanation on how to meditate. Sit comfortably with your back straight, cross legged on a cushion or upright in a chair. Pay attention to your breath, don't try to alter it in anyway just pay attention. Feel your abdomen rise and fall. On the inbreath say in your mind "rising" and on the outbreath "falling". After a while you may notice you have drifted into thoughts, when you notice this sat to yourself "thinking" and move your attention back to your breathing. If you hear a distracting noise, say to yourself "hearing" and move your attention back to your breathing, same for if you feel something or smell something or any other sensation, acknowledge it by saying "feeling" "smelling" then return your attention to your breath. This is known as vipassana or insight meditation. Practice for 20 to 30 minutes a day or as long as you can manage. Please ask any questions you may have if my explanation is not clear.

I will start to meditate more often now, i really think it helps to change your mind. I think it is the best way to tackle the problem at source, the craving for PMO is only in our heads! So the fundamental task seems easy ... change the art of thinking, meditation is a very good instrument.

Good call, gentlemen! I had and have been trying to meditate for many years. At one point I got up to 15 minutes a day, 4-5 times a week, for a whole summer. Unfortunately that was last century.
I will try to incorporate it into my fap recovery starting next week.

A good book to read is 'Meditation' by Eknath Eswaran. It explains what to do during meditation, before, after and just throughout your life. That book helped me change my life. One of the few books I read twice. Check it out.
