How to meditate?

    I've recently started meditating and idk if what I'm doing is right:

    Sitting cross-legged
    Breathing from my nose and focusing on it
    Trying to not think about anything for 10 minutes

    I still get creeping thoughts, whether it's a song stuck in my head or thinking about what my fat ass is gonna eat, so if any of u got any tips id love to hear them

    While meditation thoughts are come and go, what you have to do is watch those thoughts and let them go even if you're getting thought of eating and other things, let them just come and go, don not indulge into those thoughts.
    You can image like your mind is a mountain and thoughts are like clouds, they are gonna come and go so don't worry about it man, but don't induge into those thoughts. Stay strong buddy!
