How to not have wet dreams?

Also want to pose another question to you all - do you think enough excess semen will be cleared away through urinating alone? Or are wet dreams also necessary, i see lots of serious people trying to also stop wet dreams to speed up the process or maintain benefits.

From what I understand the excess needs to be excreted otherwise there can be actual prostate problems (toxins building up in the prostate, which is a precursor for prostate cancer.) NOTE : With both urinating and wet dreams this is never a problem - because the toxins get flushed out, that's why these concerns are nothing to worry about.

Excess semen also gets reabsorbed into the body.

  2. I do not believe in the whole idea, stored semen would reason any serious problems for the body at all. It simply absorbs back, what has been unused. Neither think that semen has to be cleared out by urinating or by any wet dreams. I cannot remember ever having noticed loosing semen by urinating at all, if I had not tried to control my ejaculation before. When this fails it can happen, that the semen just went into the bladder, instead having kept back completly and then it came out later with the next piss. The whole prostate cancer stuff may become considerable for men over 45 years, at least to give it a thought, but not for youngsters in my opinion.

Wet dreams - had them most seldom, think I can count mine on two hands. In puberty I always hoped and waited for them, but nope. And now I had none during this actual streak yet and do not expect any in the future. I think, its a question of what the mind is full and busy about. If you are fantasizing a lot, being horny and repressing it then, short, if sexual ideas take a big place already in your daily thinking, even without watching any porn, they will probably also reoccur in your dreams. A friend of mine told me, he gets them regularly as soon he tries to abstain for longer than a couple of weeks, while another one also says, he would never have them. So it´s different and individual. I would not mind them too much, just don´t let them bring you into chasing mode after awakening. And as more you get control over your sexdrive in general, as more you will exercise it also during your dreamtime. Up to the point, where you can stop any unwanted sexual actions in a dream.

  3. Hm I never have wet dreams.
I think it is not much of a problem. Maybe not ejaculating will raise the chance for getting prostate problems a little bit, but not in a critical way.

I've stopped a wet dream mid-orgasm before. This is unsustainable long term though.

  5. What do you mean by mid-orgasm? Can you please explain your post for a non-native speaker like me?

  6. I think it can be very frustrating, waking up full horny, before having finished. I had of course many dreams with sexual content too, but finishing with a satisfying orgasm most seldom and finding my sleeping trousers even soiled after it, under 10 times. But there is a reason why dream life might imply on orgasms or at least sex, because it tries to clear rather your mind of anything you have repressed over the day than just your balls. But like a full bladder or painful arm can induce certain dreams, full balls can of course too.

Like when you are about to ejaculate / orgasm / cum

But you keep it inside the penis.

  8. There are few reliable way I have found that prevents wet dreams. One is keeping your mind clean. That means not fantasizing, especially before sleep, not watching psubs, staring at short skirts on a street, etc. So later your mind does not create those erotic dreams. Another one is managing physical tension. That means not drinking a lot of water before bed because pressure in bladder might stimulate stuff down there and end up in wet dream. Not doing any kind of weight training and muscle tensing before bed, doing relaxing stretches before bed instead, because weight training builds up tension which can then be discharged by the body in wet dream. Slow breathing meditation instead of fast breath evening jog or yoga for the same reason - fast breath builds tension within our nervous system.

Also making sure we sleep in right position to avoid any tension. Obvious example is to not sleep on our stomach cos then our genitals will be stimulated by pressure. Weird enough sleeping on right side is actually the best. Sleeping on left side still may end up in wet dream more likely that sleeping on right side for whatever reason, even if sleeping position is the same. Sleeping on back is second best. Sleeping on stomach is worst and sleeping on left side is actually even worse than sleeping on back. Also having a sleeping position where legs are not close together and are spread a little bit seem to help too. If you sleep on a side, in something similar to embryo position, with one leg on top of other both squeezed together it might promote wet dream because it builds tension between your legs, so spread them a little.

  9. It makes sense. I mean if our prostate fluid is produced to such amounts that it creates a lot of pressure then our body will have a wet dream naturally to discharge that. I do not believe we can avoid that wet dream, even if we can limit them as much as possible. So if somebody never has wet dreams I would assume it means that they are discharging enough through urination. Either that or their prostate is probably enlarged. So that would seem like a good way how to check.

I agree about avoiding sexual images and thoughts. Also steer clear of stimulants of any kind, including processed sugars, caffeine and chocolate. And wear a preventer at night, if you're a guy.

Not possible! As long as you aren’t releasing your sexual energy via pmo or actual sex your going to keep having wet dreams

I know. To he honest before wet dreams I would have a ticking timer of like 5 seconds. Either wake up and save the semen or let go of it.
Guess what? I always chose the latter. Bcoz I always have this thing in mind: at least you'll be able to orgasm, even though it is a dream.

And it's very difficult to stop it...

Deleted Account and Yep u do like this.
  14. I face exactly the same situation, I wake up just at the end... there is nothing to do...
