So I recently became interested in making fresh pizza at home so I got a basil plant. Im keeping it in my kitchen near the window so it can get plenty of sunlight. Are there any tips on taking care of it besides?
  2. Fertilize monthly when growing indoors (I use Dr Earth Vega fertilizer, 1 bag has lasted my balcony garden over a year. It’s a dry fertilizer made of compost you can sprinkle on top of the soil and water in.)

Don’t let the roots sit in water - make sure your container is well-drained. Otherwise your plant can become diseased.

Don’t allow it to flower. Once basil grows flowers the plant stops growing as many leaves and its flavor becomes bitter and clove-like.
