Hello everyone, I've been thinking about this for a while and want to share my thoughts with you to see what's your take on this.
Everywhere I look nowadays there seems to be sex. It's flooding all type of medias, from movies to music, literature, and specially the internet.
Of course, we, as humans, always had a natural impulse to be drawn to sex, it's biological, so, it also became cultural.
But now the whole thing just seems to have become way unhealthy. Probably for commercial reasons I believe we have been "educated" to think we need sex when in fact we do not.
It seems to me that this idea is greatly anxiogenic and the root of many mental distress. People believe they are not getting enough of something that is not even a necessity in the first place.
The human mind has distorted the pleasure of sex into something economical. It's like "sexual materialism".
The whole psychological and sociological explanation for this is something beyond, but I believe you can see where I'm coming from here. Maybe we are the first to realize that we are shackled and nothing should keep us from breaking free.
    Please comment. Much love.

When you go and research all the rabbit holes that this planet has, it is quite clear why it is the way it is. PMO makes you weak male, who tommorow can't make his full potential, rebel in intelligent ways, or be a leader in any aspect of his life. It is by design.
We have all the free shit that surround us the multitude of dopamine candy's that can make us a weak Human race. Someone, or something above us is dictating this status quo.
You can also see it in media, movies, tv-shows, empathy and true heroism is not promoted anymore, it is just tough bad guys that have no moral compass except money. Here and there there are exceptions, but always with some end-game agendas.
We all fell into this scheme, it is by design.

Once I saw one study that says Instagram content is the more popular the more skin is showed, with the corollary of woman posting half-naked pictures having great amount of views and followers.
One can expand this little trend over our entire society today, and we can noticed how deep is the problem we are facing.

  4. This topic goes deep. Pornography is a tool used by powerful people in order to tear the fabrics of society apart.

  5. You're so right on this. Thanks for posting. To add a few of my own thoughts:

    1. women dress provocatively throughout the day even though they have no actual desire to seduce a man, they're just programmed by the media to dress that way.

    2. men injure themselves in the gym, take T boosters, and spend too much money on flashy cars/trucks in order to... not actually have much of that translate to getting laid a lot or finding a quality mate, i.e. low return on investment.

    3. women read magazines that talk about totally bizarre sexual techniques that are in fact not even that appealing to men, but make the women feel good because they think they have some sort of complicated secret knowledge that will make men crave them... though yet again, they aren't actually going to go after a bunch of them and when they do find one he'll probably be more than happy with standard P in V.

    4. Men google search "average penis size" and measure themselves and wonder if size really matters, because porn distorts their understanding of it and "modern" angry feminist women who are sexually confused for reasons above talk about penis size as revenge for us talking about boob size...

    5. Can't think of one lol but the point is everyone is talking about the extremes of sex while not many are actually enjoying the basics as much as the media says we all should be.

    “Ending is better than mending.”
~Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Chapter 3

Written in 1931 Huxley's book predicts a consumer-based economy where spending money is all important.

Today, we have consumer-based p0rn. T\/\/itter gladly shows endless scrollings of p0rn with advertisements mixed in the middle for everything from cell phones to trips to the moon.

sexual stuff is everywhere. even back in the day in the sitcom friends rachel would wear tight shirts.

  8. I definitely feel that sex is given too much value in some societies. I read of men who devalue themselves because they think their ability to have sex is somehow related to their own selfworth. Some parents are to blame for this, especially when parents impatiently pressure their kids into relationships too early. Prostitution is also to blame, I think. Prostitution is the sale of sex and is legal in some societies, though mostly not in my land. I usually keep off the internet because it's where prostitutes usually legally or illegally advertise sex.

I feel that I only value sex for procreation. Outside of procreation, sex has too many weaknesses and dangers to be enjoyable or recreational for me. I've read of a husband who has been infected by an adulterous wife, so not even sex after marriage could 100% protect me.

I honestly feel like adopting instead of procreating because I don't want to continue my father's perverted genes. I don't want my kids to have a grandfather who condones prostitution or laughs at them for being molested by a woman.

I used to be very angered by the way that sex was being overvalued. But that anger has lessened through time. I'm realizing that sex has a lot of weaknesses and dangers to a point where today's modern value of sex is usually superficial or artificial. Some societies put effort into promoting sex, I believe. They put effort into silencing STI victims, homosexuals, transsexuals, sex crime victims, divorced persons, and etc. I am not angry at criminals who put an effort to artificially promote something. Such effort is unnatural, vain, sad, and futile because nature and STIs do not bend to mankind's will. I believe that sex should not be promoted but should be a well-planned decision when two people decide to raise a family. Sex should not be marketed or sold. I would never encourage a brother to pay 150$ for herpes.

As time passes, I see sexual abusers wean while I strengthen. My old perverted dad has been to the hosptial many times because of his lack of self-control that even reflects in his diet. I await the day that I may educate and guide him away from his superficial value of sex.

I agree with your viewpoint. I think Internet porn was one of the worst things to happen to society.
To me doing NoFap in this society is like dieting on a candy store.
