Hypnosis

    Hypnosis can be a valuable tool that we use to overcome impulsive behavior. Hypnosis works because it targets the subconscious mind, the same part of our mind that has been conditioned over the years to use.

    In a very real sense, porn users have been hypnotized. All this means is that our logical abilities have been bypassed and our subconscious minds have been conditioned in a certain way, which in this case is highly destructive to us yet highly profitable to the industry.

    There is a company called "HypTalk" that has an "Overcome Porn Addiction" product that I listen to and find very helpful. We have to be aware of how deeply this addiction affects our minds and take the fight to that level.

    I definitely agree the battle is fought between the ears. I meditate which actually trains one to clear the mind and let thoughts pass through without holding them captive. A fake hypnosis of you will.

    I've noticed there are lots of similarities between hypnosis and meditation. It's like the same tune played on different instruments.
    I've tried hypnosis tapes for ED, with some success.

    That's cool. It sounds like similar tecnology that a company called Centerpointe Research Institute are producing.
