I understand there are times when people will be suicidal some much more than others even plenty maybe but you can endure however difficult sometimes it may be beyond people ability to endure I do not know because it could perhaps always be within our ability to escape however difficult and sometimes you may need to stop a medication or something

Just like any side effect, not everyone is affected by it - but for many individuals taking SSRIs, suicidal thoughts and suicide risk are increased. This is particularly an issue in people who already had such thoughts: they can exacerbate them, so it's worth being cautious.

That said, these thoughts are most common during the first month taking SSRIs and SNRIs, so if you get past that length of time without any issues, there's a good chance you're one of the people who doesn't get this sort of side effect from them.

In other news, I really want whatever @Nomenyeux is smoking. What the actual fuck lmao :D

Vulture's right, one nice thing about SSRIs and SNRIs for anyone wanting to quit PMO is the decreased arousal. I sort of never considered these medications from the context of quitting PMO when I first read this thread. I would definitely be cautious about remaining on them for longer than necessary (much better to use them short term in combination with therapy, until therapy overtakes them and you can not rely on a medication anymore - in my opinion), but for short term they may help you with quitting PMO. :)

If you read the posts in this thread, you will see clearly that sometimes medication is a necessary steppingstone.

I was "forced" on them at like 14. Well no nurse was actually checking to see if I swallowed until inpatient rehab at 18.

So ya I was forced, literally, once upon a time.

I now view Big Pharma and their garbage products as a complete sham including their so called "diseases" of the mind.

I cannot tell you what to think.

But as far as I know I can share a couple videos to spark ideas in your mind.
