I am now really tired of all of this ......

    hey guys,
    i joined this site around 4 to 5 months ago and i was trying to get out of the habit of masturbation before on my own , all i wanted was to get out of this habit of masturbation which would ruin my life one day totally .

    i always tried not to give up every time i relapsed but now when i relapsed again i am really feeling down and i am questioning my potential if i will be able to get out of this trap or not. i always relapse after 10 to 11 days on an average 1 year back i used to do it twice a day on an average . i am feeling really depressed and sad cause this time i relapsed again whenever i start studying my urges start hitting me hard and hence my study is also getting disturbed .

    if anyone is out there who wants to help me then please i beg help me to get out of this ,
    i dont want to turn my life into living hell in future i really want to achieve something big an want to fulfill my dream to be a DOCTOR .


    so guys please understand my situation and help me out :[ ,

    Hey anubhav, relax take it easy on yourself, when you get used to something, its often very difficult to crawl out of it so dont be too hard on yourself but be honest with yourself.
    Firstly understand what causes you the urges, or what triggers you, sometimes the thoughts comes what of nowhere like in the middle of the night or in the morning, keep in mind that this is for the greater good for you, and if you fail you'll again have to start over again and again. I understand it causes you distraction during studying , so i suggest you take breaks in you're session, try to do pomodoro technique see if that helps you with you're studying. Good luck

  5. Try updating your journal every day, and treat each day like it's day one. In other words don't get over-confident, even if you're on day 300.

    Write about things that are bothering you. You don't have to go into great detail, the point is that if you just ignore problems you'll be more likely to relapse.
