So I had this idea running through my head for some time now. I always struggled on my battle with wet dreams and at times I’d try different things to actually stop them. Such as getting better sleep or not eating before bed or laying on your stomach and things along that nature.

None of those things actually worked for me.

But in the past couple months something weird has happened. I’ve stopped having wet dreams. Yeah. I was like what the fuck too.

so thinking about it, I was wondering what I did differently?

During quarantine I went on a social media detox for about 4 months and completely revamped myself. Grew a beard and taught myself things that were out of my comfort zone and it was an experience for sure.

This was in the midst of my semen retention journey and on my way to one year hard mode.

but. The conclusion I came to was that what if wet dreams work in correlation to our memories? All that porn and women we seen in the sexual manner leads us to wetting our pants even in our sleep. We Were so latched on to that our body would even recollect memories from things? Just a thought but crazy to think about.

So if I were to think about this and come to a solution, then I would assume that in order to stop wet dreams you just need to get to a point where you forget about all that stuff. U forget about the women and the sex and you just live life and that’s only Truly when you heal

same would go for pornography addiction in general to break it you must forget it. No different then getting over an ex-girlfriend. You build a confidence inside you that makes you mentally capable to move on and enjoy your life

It’s an equation that could work for potentially getting pornography out of all our lives. I personally do not watch porn anymore but it’s a process that I’ve been through

If we can hold out long enough, our semen retention journey can ultimately give us enough confidence to get over porn just as it can help build us up to get over an ex girlfriend or something along those lines. We are constantly explaining the benefits of NoFap and the confidence it brings. So if you continued nofap and the confidence in yourself keeps growing as you keep moving forward, why wouldn’t you be able to fight it and build enough confidence to completely end your pornography addiction in general? The longer you hold out, the harder the urges get but the greater your confidence grows so you can eventually win in the end...

I can see sense in this. Been talking to a lady quite a bit lately and the sex thoughts just pop in. Also hard to not get aroused when I talk to, see or think about her. When I think of it though, any sex thoughts I have are not with her but rather an amalgamation of all the porn I've watched over the years. Just last week I ejaculated over night due to all the sex thoughts. When ever that stuff comes in it's a constant surrender. Enjoy her company and let go of the sex.

  3. ⁴Yes, yes they can. Not perfectly, but one can definitely reduce them.

On my current streak I've gone 14 days, 14 days, 30 days (had 3 wet dreams in 5 days), and I guess around 14 days. I really think most of the time it's tied into my thought life. If I'm fantasizing about a girl or my mind is on sexual things throughout the day the day before wet dreams are more likely. I also think the early wet dreams tend to be the detoxing from porn. I'm not totally sure on this. I'm trying to keep track of my wet dreams though so we will see.

  6. Agreed that wet dreams can be reduced and/or stopped.
An individual can become more conscious in their dreams the same as they can become more conscious in waking life.

You've probably heard the term "Lucid dreaming".
It refers to the experience of the dreamer knowing that they are in a dream.

The matter from there is then being conscious of what's going on, what's within your power, and what your intentions are.
This is no different than waking life.

If you can stay in alignment with those, stay conscious of those and act accordingly, you can deter a wet dream from occurring.
It's really the same process as in waking life!

This has been my experience as well. Not just theory, though hopefully the explanation itself makes sense. :)

I thought I nearly had a wet dream last night. Woke up and found out I didn’t. Reminded me how much I value my streak.

I love the comparison of getting over an ex-girlfriend. Great way to put it.
