I Can't Stop :(

    I have been masterbating for 4 years and can't stop. I use to be able to go a few weeks without fapping now I can't even go one day. I don't know what to do I masterbate about 2 times a day. I just cannot stop :(. I dont even know where to start I try to go cold turkey but I just can't.

  3. Come on man. Believe yourself. We were porn addiction too. Only we believed to ourselves. YOU CAN DO IT. DON'T BREAK YOUR DAY COUNTER. You can start with one masturbation in 1 week after 2 week and again again. Start with little days.

  4. One day at a time is how we beat this. When that is too much, we go one hour at a time, even one thought at a time.

    The battle is in the mind. It must be fought and won there if our behavior is ever going to change. When the thought to M comes into your mind, stop it and analyze it: What do you hope to gain? What is it you truly desire? Will PMO or MO help you achieve that?

    Remind yourself of the truth and focus all of your attention on the truth. Live from there and not from the lie.

    And never forget the cardinal rule: Except for bathing and using the restroom, do not touch yourself. It is a habit, but one that can be broken. It is always a choice to perform this unnatural act. Begin to regard it as such, because that is what it truly is. Change your thinking and your behavior will follow.

    In my experience that happen to me when i have high libido.

    In some point you will have low libido, so you will have not desire to masturbate, that is a good point of start and a good motivation for the first days.

    one day at a time. each time you fail, the worst thing you can do is put yourself on trial for it. as a relapse happens, just let it happen, and let it pass. be resilient as these are all part of the process. no one, and i mean NO ONE has gone straight up cold turkey one day after having a porn addiction. we believe in you

    UGH I relasped :(. I had a crappy day at school and was feeling depressed and I tried to but I gave in. I am starting again right now. I am trying to figure out my triggers. I WILL DO BETTER I WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

    If you really try and can't get rid of it, maybe you could consider using app and tools to block the access to triggering content, or you could try again without it, but with one more experience of how is to relapse, your thoughts about it and your desire to change are there to make you greater and stronger, you just need to be confident and stronger, saying like this may look easy, of course it's not, but our journey is full of fails, use it in your favor, everybody can do it.

    I just read a article that said masterbation leads to prostate cancer. If I stop masterbating will it reverse the percent increase that I caused by masterbating or is it already too late? Obviously continuing to masterbate will not help but is there a way to undo the hurt? Take into account that I am 16 and also this really motivated me to try even harder I WILL NOT GIVE IN

    sounds like you have a stress trigger. i am the same way. do the things that make you happy when you feel stressed. mitigate the sources of your PMO. adding new things to destress is even better. doing things that you already do anyways is going to do less to rehabituate your mind. i took up self guided meditation (to a rainy day soundtrack on youtube) when i am stressed. I also stretch slowly and deliberately. im a big mma fan, so sometimes ill just kick my feet up and watch some old UFC fights on my UFC fight pass. etc.

    This is the REAL PROBLEM. I know because it is the same one I have. To move forward you have to come to terms with this fact. PMO is a symptom. The real problem is we are NOT good at handling stress!

    So you have to 1st think of this journey from that perspective and REDEFINE the problem.

    I now know that I one of my triggers is being stressed. I need to start facing stress in a different way and not immediately go to PMO. When I am happy I have absolutely not urge. Today I was stressed and I almost fapped again but instead I listened to calming music and took deep breaths until the urge went away and deal with the problem. I really feel like I am improving and I know that I am just at the beginning of stopping this addiction but I am optimistic about the future.
