    Hello everyone,

My name is Micheal it’s spelled correctly versus how everyone usually spells my name (Michael). I’ve been wanting to quit PMO for a lifetime but I’ve felt it’s always helped me in a positive way. I would reduce Fapping down to 2-3 times a week versus everyday I felt like I had control of myself. But now I’m doing it everyday I would go through pornhub and find an interesting video. I would bust a nut within a couple minutes that’s it close my browser, and go about my day it’s just become a habit that I have to do it. Personally I do not feel damaged or out of control but I do want to see if I can stop for at least a month, and how I feel during, and after the process and I will see where things go from there. If you have any questions for me just feel free to reply!

Try and go without it. See if you can.

The longest I’ve ever been without it is like a month than I went back to it, and told myself that was a dumb idea

That is what an addiction will do. I said to myself many times I can handle this. I was wrong. Don't be like me and waste years to PMO.

Hello. I think one should identify if it is an addiction. and for that is useful to compare yourself with smokers.... if one smokes half pack instead of two packs, I think he is an addict.
If one smokes a cigar every 6 months, or when is his birthday or is Christmas, he is not an addict. (Hope this helps. Have a good day!)

  7. Hey @Miiiicheeal ,

Welcome to NoFap! You are in the right place.

I'm just a regular member on here, so take what I say as my experience. I found that I needed to:

    1. Learn the NoFap program.

    2. Get involved with the community.

The best resource I found was the “Getting Started with NoFap” guide. It is on the NoFap homepage and you can download it for free from this link https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/

    Then, watch this video:

It is really good and explains so much about how the blasting of porn images into the brain in high definition on high speed internet while slamming porn sounds into the ears with headphones can literally change the way your brain demands sexual stimulation.

The video explains it better than I can.

Also, a great page is https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/ my experience is that by reading every link and watching every video, I learned so much.

Then, I got involved with the community. I'm not anyone special on here, I don't have any magic powers. But, I can say hello to new members, post my journal entries, remember to “like” peoples posts, and offer my experience, strength and hope where appropriate.

Looking forward to seeing you around on the forums,

    --> L

PS - Think of pmo like a wolf. Stay near the center of the group with the winners and the wolf has a more difficult time finding you. But, stray near the edges of the community and the wolf can pick you off.

Also, here are a few journals to get started reading. See who they follow, see who is posting on their journals. You will find friends on here if you put yourself out there.

Hello Michael (I spelled it wrong, I know), nice to meet you man! Consider imstalling porn blocker extension in your devices. I know they can be easily bypassed but having it will kinda warn you a little bit. Whenever you have urges, go straight to take a cold shower, I know everybody hates it but it workes for me!

I like that! I know I’m not an addict I do plenty of good in my life. I just feel I’m relying to much on masturbation that it’s become a certain high that I’m trying to chase that I will never reach. It’s just a temporary feeling to feel good for a little while that I become accustomed to

I understand what you are going through. I have learned from decades of using PMO that it gets ahold of you, gets ahold of your life, takes you away from those you love, and pushes you into wilder and wilder porn to get the same drug hit. That eventually is likely to lead you into dangerous online and in-person behaviors, which are very likely to really harm your life; perhaps permanently. SO; treat this problem as a very important one, and give it all your energy to fight this problem. I am new to NoFap, and it looks like there are great resources here to help you. Use them! I have been using therapy and 12-step programs such as Sexaholics Anonymous (which I think is VERY helpful).

Hey man, it’s been 2 weeks without no PMO I feel great I still get urges, and I’m tempted but I just don’t do it as simple as it is. I know 2 weeks is not a long time but when you used to do it every single day it seems like forever so I’m happy with my results so far.
