So I watched Toy Story 3 again, just because I love this movie. I remembered getting a bit teary-eyed at the end when I watched it a couple of years ago.

Now, while on NoFap, I cried. I cried for ~2-3 minutes straight.

Feels so good. It feels good to feel.

How long have you guys been on NoFap? What have been some things that have helped you guys? I'm about 40 days in and still feeling depressed and anxious.

Well... I think everyone has to work their own way out. I read so many "guides" on NoFap and nothing was helping me.

I stopped counting days, so I don't know really how long I'm going. A bit over a month I guess.

How it used to be for me:
Urge came. Struggle for 2 minutes. Look at P. PMO.

How it is now:

Urges stronger than ever. Feel the urge. Be mindful. Let it go.

My overall lifestyle changes to achieve all my benefits :

  1. Eating healthier
  2. NoSugar
  3. BeingMindful
  4. Meditation daily (10-20 minutes) Tip: Look for guided meditations based on your problem. I used the "self-esteem" ones by "TheHonestGuys". Mindful meditations are the best. I sometimes even cry from joy
  5. at least 3l water per day
  6. good quality cup of green tea a day
  7. cold showers (sometimes)
  8. resistance based exercises (not in gym)
  9. body language: (https://www.ted.com/talks/amy_cuddy_your_body_language_shapes_who_you_are?language=en)
  10. loving myself

I think what works out is, leaving the bad habit is one thing, also replace bag habit by a good habit.
Then I you get more confidence.
For example, to start with, start doing exercises DAILY.

Thanks guys for your advice. Every time I feel close to relapsing I come to this website and it's posts like the ones you guys write that keep me motivated to continue to strive for fulfilling my absolute potential.

I love that list. Good job !

Congrats man. For me, the emotional aspect of nofap is a huge motivator. P has really destroyed my emotional responses to both good and bad things. It has made me feel like a zombie. At one point I was convinced that Im just a cold and heartless person, but I have finally realized that P was the source of this issue. What was a huge turning point for me was when my grandmother died this past December, and I didnt even cry at her funeral. Im slowly improving, and I agree with what some others have said that meditation and practicing self love helps. It gives me hope seeing posts like yours.

I guess we have all been there.

Yes definitely, while we are on PMO we are emotionally empty. Once we do NOFAP all those emotions hit us hard. It is like being in completelly different world. Learning to live again. What I think is that life supposed to be hard, we supposed to cry sometimes, we supposed to feel down and feel up - we have to go through this cause it gives us lessons for real life. This is how we should learn things. We can read about things going on but until we dont go through the reality and experiences we are not able to learn a single shit!!!

So these emotions are harsh, well at least for me, but I see that everytime I go through some of new experience it leaves a "notice" inside of me so next time, i am prepared for not repeat any mistakes again.

While on PMO, we never learned from anything cause we just have our reward system no matter whether we did something good or bad.

Stick with it brother, it is called THE REALITY!

Cheers
