I’ve been fapping pretty much my whole life. And now i want to stop, because i got my first gf and I’m 22 years old. I think the reason why i have so much anxiety is because I’ve been fapping non stop almost every day but sometimes i stop. I always have sexual thoughts and i don’t even want to have them anymore. it’s just so ANNOYING! and my gf knows i do it too i keep trying to save up for her but i always fail in the middle of the time we spend away from each other. Just now i had to fap and i was feeling pretty mindless i wasn’t even sexually aroused and i hate looking at porn because it makes me feel like I’m cheating on her when I’m not. half of the time i don’t even think the girls are pretty or anything, i just do it because I’m bored. And when we have sex, i don’t feel any sensation in my shaft area. i think it’s because i rubbed it too much throughout my life of being a virgin. it sucks and i want to stop now but i always have urges and i can’t control them... i think i will put parental controls and give the password to my gf so she can help me but i don’t know that might be a bit too advanced, what do you guys think i should do?

  3. I was exactly like you when I found nofap.

Just the thought to reading about ppl who quit made me anxious because I knew I would want to quit

I fapped from fear dread and anxiety the first few weeks after I found this place.

  5. I embraced it.

I learned to express myself thanks to nofap. Once I did that I felt I needed to do it more often.
    That became a journal.
Later I wanted to document why I looked at porn—- we call this triggers.

I made a list. Went back to porn to document all of them.

I didn’t try to stop until I fully understood it. I stayed at day zero testing the community to see if they were accepting and testing myself to see if I wanted to believe it was possible.

I commented on the forums and then in dat three a female user started trolling me and badgering me. I relapsed. Then I called her out for it. Said she was a bully. Then I held myself accountable and tried again. The next time I told as many ppl as I could about it. The knowledge that I didn’t want to let any one down made me strong to face myself.

I have a lot of pride. I just hadn’t harnessed it before.

I rediscovered my competitive drive to beat porn. I haven’t stopped learning.

I started reading in the brain and other books and connecting with more real people.

The opposite or cure to porn is real, intimate connection.

  8. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profilesection..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal. Make sure and be grateful for the help you received and help after receiving some. Invest in some people's journeys. We could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Make sure and be grateful for the help you received and help after receiving some. Invest in some people's journeys.

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
