I have found that my main problem is not pmo but it is general tech addiction.
I can't get away from my computer and it is the thing really controlling me.
My internet addiction has been a problem for like 7 years for me already whereas PMO only 2 years .

I will just say that my tech addiction is much worse than PMO will ever be to me and I also want to beat both addictions (PMO first though)

I'm in the exact same boat. Do you have to use it for work?

No, but it is my only entertainment source as I do not watch TV

i found that keeping myself busy with work helps.
i just overload myself with work and find myself doing it until late hours, and even though im working on a computer i just barely think about it.
it might help with both your problems, but like you said, i advise starting with one thing at a time.

Perfect. Maybe you should go through a "decleanse" period? Give internet up for a certain time period and force yourself to develop offline hobbies, like reading or playing an instrument or photography. There are tons of things you could do :) I would just start by removing it from yourself and just figuring out what to do after. Try at least like 2 weeks without it, preferably 30 days.

I imagine many of the members of this forum also struggle with some form of electronic addiction besides pornography. I know I am most prone to slipping when I am either bored by or agitated by "the screen." The obvious solution is restricting or eliminating time spent on the internet, which in and of itself is very rewarding.

Or...you can join a bunch of forums where you are unlikely to run into anything that will tempt you. Unix? Python programming? Sumo? More than likely these will not bore you or give you a stiffy...

I did do 37 days last year but it caused me depression, anxiety,I nearly got OCD (I didn't),my immune system was upset due to depression,I lost motivation and much more.
I felt sad I might be stuck with internet addiction for a while and I'm happy pmo never went this far with me.
I think loneliness might be the key to my internet addiction. Thanks for the help guys

by beating my internet addiction I want to be able to not need tech in any way unless I voluntarily want to not to feed an addiction

The hard way is usually the best way. Good luck!
