I keep relapsing everyday :( Help me guys!

This is really simple, and really difficult. You're going to have to cut all that shit out if you want to have any chance of breaking an addiction. Essentially you have to starve your addiction. Your body isn't going to like it.. Hell it's going to hate it.


But, it gets better. Think of your willpower like a muscle. Every time you train your willpower it improves. Equally if you're challenging your willpower too often and too hard it's going to fail. You need to find a way to keep porn, video chat ect out of your face. It will likely be hard enough without all that extra stimuli.

Anyway, you're not alone. Keep training that willpower. Keep getting stronger.

You're going to have to stop viewing any type of erotic stimuli all together. Yes it's going to be hard. Yes you probably will relapse and cave in. But make the effort. Put up a fight. There are lots of Fapstronauts on here who are going through the same things. Find support and maybe even an AP partner.

This is worth it.

 

Dude you have found a trigger and you have admitted that it is a trigger. Thus you know it is trigger. Which leaves only one thing to do, stop using chatroulette or anything like that. If you want to chat with girls then do so in person. If she happens to horny well then you two can have sex but for the love of god stop using chatroulette.

To continue using a trigger is like an alcoholic going to a brewery. It isn't smart.

 

Like everyone above said, get rid or block everything that triggers you. Right now you're an alcoholic that's going to quit drinking by only having one drink a day... Mission Impossible!
Get rid of triggers and find something else to replace this behaviour, it is your only chance of making it past your first day or first week.

 

In addition to the good advice that's been given, I will add that I never had that much of an issue with P until I started going on chat sites. You try to rationalize to yourself it's "better" because it's live but I found it much, much worse and more addictive, and it's what brought me to this site. The good news is that the advice works - by completely eliminating all access to chat and not allowing myself to even entertain the possibility, I've been able to stay on track and start realizing the benefits. Try to focus on something productive, like a hobby that entertains you, although I wouldn't recommend video games. If you don't have a hobby, then create one! Focus more on your schoolwork and studying. Read other fapstronauts' stories. Exercise. Eat an apple. Dance. Do anything that you enjoy that don't involve or will trigger you into masturbating to girls on Chatroulette.

I recommend having a special activity that could be done when you feel like you are about to be triggered, like running in place, talking to yourself in the mirror, or drawing whatever comes to mind.

The most important thing to do is to never give up. If you convince yourself that you can't do this, then you might as well keep on fapping. Don't convince yourself that this is your reality! Keep moving forward!

 

you guys who never got attached to random camchats you dont know how it feels to be there. It is much harder to quit than normal porn. Because it is more real than a normal porn. New and new faces, bodies, horny chats, horny situations. Seducing a new partner there, again and again. It gives an amazing feeling and I became the slave of it too. I could easily stop watching porn but it is so tempting for me to login to omegle or chatroulette site!

All I can say buddy that keep trying. Think why you are so attached to it. This is what I do too. For me it was an amazing feeling to turn the other one on through webcam. it was like getting some kind of energy and giving me certain self confidence. And then I realized that this is the main reason I needed it. I dont feel sexy, I dont feel attractive in real life (even though people think I am). So there, on camchats suddenly I was seducing, sexy. But what you have to keep in mind, it is not real. it feels real but it is not. So slowly everytime you go there think about this. If you can not stop it from one day to another then at least when you login there, look at them as a bunch of desperate boring people. They are there for the same reason. Collecting some self confidence, getting some compliments. But they still arent happy just like you and me. Learn how to turn it off. Spending less and less time on it. Because lets be honest it feels exciting but it is boring, wasting your time. Obviously you are sexy if you have success there but how much more you need to start to believe in yourself buddy?

 

Chat-roulette is not meant for cam sex… You have a tool that lets you talk with people from all over the world, why not just talk with them. Consider it a virtual traveling method. Ask thought provoking questions, I've met some really interesting people on that site.
And also, Cam sec is porn. You can try to differentiate them all you want but at the end of the day, you're looking at a screen, wasting your life when there's a world of possibility right outside your front door. You can quit pmo man, but it's going to take a complete effort. Hope you can accomplish your goal man.

ah I forgot something. In these days at least cam sex is safe, you do not catch sexually transmitted disease on cam. I wouldnt recommend to have sex everyday with a different person instead of camming

If you really don't want to video-chat anymore: take your webcam, place it underneath the tire of your car, and run over it repeatedly. Switch from a smart-phone to a dumb-phone with no internet access. At least it places obstacles between you and what you don't want to be doing.

Ok, so you want to quit masturbating. Thats good. Now do alot of research and figure out how your boy works, what triggers you and how your body reacts to it. THEN you'll know what to quit and what to focus on.

I dont even know. I think it is the mixture of internet addiction and porn addiction... I think to give up porn is way much easier than to give up internet... especially when it gives some kind of new excitement like webcamming

 

Hey, interesting thread.

I'm not too sure cam chat is necessarily more addictive to porn or vice versa, I think it depends on what you get personally from it or how you are stimulated. It seems for you that you have some huge dopamine /ego boosts from the virtual cam world?

Maybe try and understand what it is that hooks you so much and what it is you want to change, help clear your mind slightly to get a good run in.
