I lost 9 months streak, coudn't get hard even with porn. Maybe problem is somewhere else?

    I'm 28, I have been porn addict for 15 years, always had erection problems and never had been able to have real sex only blowjobs, handjobs, but never PIV. I was always thinking that my ED is porn related. Since today.

    I just relapsed and finished my longest ever 9 months streak... I noticed something strange and now have doubts if really my problem is porn related. I was watching porn today and my dick just got barely hard like 20% just by watching, when I started stroking I reached like 50-60% hardness and then it was only 90% hard seconds before climaxing. This is strange for me becuase I guess after that long time of abstinece I shoud be rock hard. Even with porn I'm not able to reach strong erection and when I stop stroking I'm loosing it really fast...

    I did 9 months normal mode. No porn and no masturbation. I only let myself orgasm with girlfriend (handjobs). I noticed a few real benefits like I was able to get mildly hard just by kissing (it never happend to me before), my erection quality was better during hj/bj, rock hard morning woods, more motivation ect. I tired PIV sex two times with V (blue pill) but wasn't successful. I got rock hard but when attempting penetration I lost it. I blamed performance anxiety. The problem is that during hj, masturbation even with porn I'm not able to reach rock hard erections like morning woods. I was only able to reach that level of erection two times with V (blue pill) (50 mg sildenafil). I was never able to reach that level with handjobs, masturbatin even with porn... So what's wrong with me? Why I'm only rock hard during morning woods and with use of V (blue pill)? Why I can't make it really hard during hj or masturbation. Maybe it's some kind of physical problem or I don't know. I got super depressed because I was always thinking porn is the issue, but now after 9 months of abstinence I coudn't get hard even with porn...

    Maybe problem is somewhere else? Because really I don't get it why even with porn I can't get hard...
    I have always believed I had PIED, but PIED is when you can get hard with porn, but can't get hard in real life. Now I see no difference as my erection is weak with or without porn. Or maybe my PIED is so severe that even after 9 months I'm not cured...

    If you're getting rock hard morning wood then the problem isn't physical. How often were you O'ing during those 9 months? I'm not saying that you wasted your time but I do think that hard mode is the best and most efficient way of recovering.

    One time in a week average. Sometimes less. But isn't sex with gf beneficial?

    IMO there are two types of PIED:

    1) Your dick works to porn but not to women, this is simply a case of conditioning. Quitting porn and rewiring with real girls is how you fix this issue.

    2) ED caused by porn. Your dick simply doesn't work anymore as it should. Your brain and body are burnt out and need a break from all things sex. Rewiring will disrupt and prolong this process, worry about this part after you've given your brain the time it needs to repair itself.


    From the info you've given it sounds like you just need a long break from anything sexual and these frequent orgasms are slowing down potential recovery.

    Good thread. Beware of porn substitutes: Anything that gives you a nice easy dopamine shot - Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok (and similar bullshit), Video Games (a really bad dopamine scrambler), flirting, checking out girls in the street, Shitass TV shows. All of these things can actually stall or completely blowout your reset.

    If you replace as much of this kind of crap as possible with life altering good habits, the reset will go much much faster. Good habits might be; Gym, reading, learning something, long walks, decorate the house, repair something, meditate, visit family etc.
