It's the same situation for me, can't stop jerking off for the life of me. I've been fighting this pathetic addiction since I was 14. Now that I've moved out of my mother's house and live alone in my own apartment, I've been fapping non-stop.

I'm an introvert that barely goes out, my life is a mess, I'm a bum, and I'm a slave to this addiction. I once went 6 months without fapping, that was a miracle that I wish would happen again. I can't control the urges no matter what, the urge hits me and boom, another relapse. Just can't resist temptation, it's nearly impossible goddammit!

Today probably marks my 500th nut.... Yes, I've done it so many times that I feel like I hold the world record lmao, I absolutely hope not though. It's about time I quit for good and get serious help. I must move forward.

Will I make it? When i'm 25, will I look back at this post and be ashamed of myself? How do I find the keys to lock this addiction away forever?

  2. If I had a tally chart in front of me and it showed how many PMO sessions I've had since I started, it would shock the life out of me. We are on the same boat. I'm older at 33 but nonetheless, we fall back to this cycle so many times that it's become a normal. It is so easy to decide on the spot that I can't be bothered to challenge the urge so I'll just fap to porn. You are right, it is time to stop. If you truly want to stop there is help out there. On here you can get advice or have your questions answered which is very beneficial. To be a part of a community that understand each other is amazing. Of course you can make it, you are only 20 years old. Getting clean is not easy, of course. You need to dedicate yourself fully on this mission. I can recommend a few books and video contents which may help you and motivate you.

    - Purchase a book called "Your Brain on Porn" by Gary Wilson
    - Watch Dr Trish Leigh's videos on YouTube. She is an expert on porn addiction and her videos are very informative.
    - There is a youtuber called Seth Alexander. He was a heavy porn addict but managed to change himself completely

As your private life is concerned, you can engage in activities that will keep you busy. The problem with being home alone, plus having all that free time in your hands, is a recipe for disaster. Maybe do some training (Go to the gym if you can), and if not you can purchase a jump rope. If you have space at home you can do some bodyweight exercises. I'm not sure if you work or how you get money but if you can, I recommend to purchase some dumbbells or kettlebell. Your diet also will come to play. If you eat a lot of junk food, then naturally you will feel low on energy because your body lacks the nutrition's it requires to operate on full. Drink plenty of water (between 2 to 4 litres a day). Read a book. There are many ways to use your time.

Type 'Urge Surfing' on Google and apply that technique to whenever you feel an urge. All the best

I don't know you man but I think I can offer an advise .
You said you went six months without already, if I may ask what made you do so? In other to find the will and unlimited power in you, you have to put your self in that same state , you have to think about the things you were thinking about and doing the same things you were doing does six months.
Remember NOTHING HAS ANY POWER OVER YOU OTHER THAN THAT WHICH YOU GIVE IT THROUGH YOUR CONSCIOUS THOUTHS. I have a blessed day , I hope this helps

Bro, not to brag but I've probably nutted 5 times the amount you have.

Honestly, you may have social anxiety because of your porn addiction and classify yourself as an introvert as a result. You will eventually break the porn cycle---it gets easier over time. Never accept an urge because it holds no power over you.

I would add that you need to socialize. The human brain can only stay sane on its own for so long. If you feel inclined, I would also attempt to date.

Thanks bro. Like I mentioned, I've been fighting this addiction for many years, and after trying over and over again, I finally went clean for a few months thanks to meditation (30+ plus minutes every morning), books, frequent exercising, healthy diet, and cold showers. That was when I was 17-18, my life was much better back then. My life's gone downhill, shit has changed and life becomes much tougher once you enter adulthood.

However, I will reintroduce all of that back into my life this year. I must retrace my steps and do absolutely everything I can. Also, I forgot to mention the hardest part of NoFap, "Anxiety". It won't leave me alone, it always reminds me, "it's time to fap", "it's time to suffer". I feel this unbearable pain in my chest that makes me tremble, my anxiety only goes away after I relapse, but then I feel even worse knowing that my streak is over.

  7. Reintroducing those habits will help you this time around. Even if you suffer a setback, you have not lost anything. You will be living more healthier. I would have loved to overcome my addiction back when I didn't have any responsibility. But there is no point in wishing, because that time is gone but it's never late to change now. I hope you get over your weaknesses and become successful in your journey. Rooting for you bro.

  8. Yes, socialising will help you get over the fear of being around people (if you have that type of anxiety in the first place).

Thanks a lot man. People like you give me the confidence I didn't have before. I'm fortunate enough to live in such a nice area, will definitely go out for runs. I need to escape from this paradox that I'm trapped in.

You shouldn't be ashamed of it. Some people have even fapped over 10000 or even 20000 times!!! That number might sound too big but if you do the calculations, you know such numbers are possible. I have been in this addiction for about 4 years and I always thought that I would have never fapped more than thousand times but when I did the calculations, to my surprise, I found I might have fapped somewhere between 1300 to 1500 times or even more! If you fap twice a day for one year then you have already fapped more that 700 times!

  11. Very true indeed. It does sound ridiculous to wrap your head around such numbers but it's the reality for alot of us. I'm glad we have this community so we can share information like this because anyone else would just run a million miles from us if they got to know.

Let's say I've fapped on average 3 times a week. 3x52 = 156 faps in one year. Multiply that by 20 years.

I've fapped approximately 3120 times in my life. There are people on here who've admitted to fapping multiple times a day, everyday, for years, so they'll make my figure look insignificant.

Your 500 times is nothing. :D And that's a good thing!

@AresMars As Red John says, those are rookie numbers. I think I was around 10x your count at your age. You have a good start, it will probably be easier for you to attain self control than to most.
