I'm over a month into NO PMO (and aiming for 90 days), and I've gotta tell you, I realize more and more now how much I truly loved porn. It's easy to think that it's all about the masturbation, but just porn without masturbation is still stimulating. I want some fucking porn so bad, just to look at naked chicks. I like girls covered in tattoos "suicide girls" style.

Since I've started nofap, I hit the gym five days a week at 5 am, I've cut sugar, salt and carbs out of my diet, I've lost a ton of weight, while putting on muscle, I've been jogging in the park after the gym (getting in almost 2 hours or more of exercise per day), I've been studying and learning new skills, working on my business, and overall productive although there is much much more I could be doing. The benefits are their, and I don't plan to resort back to porn, but I do like to lie in bed and just think about porn.

Can anyone else relate? Do you ever really stop desiring porn? Or are you a recovering addict for life, like an alcoholic?

I don't know, everyone is different. I went from loving porn, to hating it and becoming indifferent to it eventually. It took me a long time to reach the point of indifference (6 months monk streak/3months relapse/current monk streak). My previous 80-120 monk streaks didn't kill P cravings in me. But as I've said, that's just me. But if I could do it (being addicted to daily compulsive PMO binges for nearly 2 decades), everyone can. It doesn't get much worse than that.

I disagree, like you said everyone is different, and our situations are different. I think more so your story gives hope of the potential that anyone with even practice can succeed, but honestly, I don't think just anyone can do it.

I truly believe that anyone who does a year of monk mode (even if he fully relapses in-between like I did) will not be compelled to watch porn anymore. Occasional cravings might hit him, when big real-life stressful events come along because PMO was our drug of choice-coping mechanism to relieve stress, but 99% of the time he will be P cravings free. I'm not saying he won't have other psych problems, he tried to mask with PMO, but thinking about P will not be on his daily schedule anymore.

I can attest. I’ve been porn free for a year and don’t get any urges anymore. Maybe cause I still have PIED and am majorly flatlined but yeah, tbh it got really easy after a couple months and keeps getting easier. You just have to really believe that it’s the best thing for you, if you second guess that you’ll relapse.
