I need your help

    I'm 21. I used to masturbate a lot for 6 years from 14. I had a good sexual drive. Even a pic or message from a girl would arouse me. I masturbated 3 times in weekends and 1 time daily in week days . In August 2018 i tried jelqing and did it wrongly. After that my erection stopped suddenly. I felt broken. I waited for weeks. Then i decided to go to doctor. He told me to quit porn and masturbation and do exercise and meditation. I did that and got erection back in September. But the erection was different. It was not hard as before and of short duration . I masturbated in one day in November 3 times. The first time i did with full erection. The next 2 times i didn't got erection. The next day my penis became really soft both in flaccid and erection. After that i didn't masturbated for 6 days. Still its soft. But I have morning erections. They are soft too. I have low sex drive too. I dont know what to do. That's why i joined NoFap to quit masturbation. Will i ever recover and i also feel broken nowadays. I feel myself as impotent male. Please share your recovery story from ed

    I had days when I felt impotent. Actually, after those periods, i healed the best, even though at that time things seemed very bleak.

    There's three things you need to remember

    1. the brain will fool you to relapse to "check if it works". Do not give in to that. It works. If it doesn't work right now, give it time. Go to a doctor again if need be. Just dont "test your erections". Do you feel the need to "test if you can still walk" while you're sitting in a chair? No, cause you know it's ingrained in you, and so is erection.

    2. sexual fantasizing is the same thing as porn. If you fantasize, even you don't watch porn or masturbate, you're still stressing your sex hormones/drive etc. Your drive needs a rest from stimulation and sexual fantasizing, porn, instagram models etc are all types of stimulation

    3. if you relapse, do not, i repeat, do not masturbate again with half mast. Actually, do not ever work your penis at half mast (even during sex. just take a break and try later). You're training your sex organs to work like that and that is not good at all.

    Thanks. You are right. I tried to test it yesterday and today . Yesterday i made it erect but it was soft and did bend but I didnt masturbate. Today i tried it to erect but i felt i am doing wrong. So i stopped it in the middle and changed my thoughts . I think i will not try it hereafter

    Just like ultrafabber said don't "test" it. That's just your mind playing tricks on you.
    NoFap is a place to quit our sexual addictions and get ahead in life.
    I won't say masturbation as a whole is bad but for many of us on here it is bad because we
    keep doing it although we want to stop and it is taking away from our lives. It is totally possible
    to quit.
