I think my dad's a Fapper (found out one of his "porn" folders) anyone else similar?

I have never found any internet porn from my dad, but me and my brother did find a VHS porn tape in their bedroom when we were around 12-14 years of age.

As far as talking to your dad about this.. i personally couldn't, i can barely talk to him about standard relationship stuff, he's quite closed off, and has never been open to talking about emotions etc, so i guess you just have to know what kind of relationship you have with your dad as to how it will go down..

 

I discovered my dads stash when I was 8/9.
He used to keep copies of the news papers daily Sunshine Girls in his closet but he would only keep the hottest ones. I found myself doing the same thing in adulthood.
He never had actual porn magazines, only soft core stuff.
I never spoke to him about it.

I’m pretty sure I introduced my older brother to porn and know he’s got a problem because his wife constantly complains about his various problems with their sexlife and relationship problems.

How long did it take you to be able to see him in the same way as before? Must have been awkward.

 

Oh man. I remember in 1998/99 my sisters and I shared a computer. I know for sure they would see all the pop ups, saved videos and pictures.
I remember I would save chat logs in ICQ and I know my oldest sister would find it.
I can’t even imagine what they thought of me.
i know my oldest sister makes fun of her husband cause she knows he watches porn so maybe she just grew up thinking that it’s normal for boys.

 

I also remember finding a few dvd's when I was 12. Of course I had to watch them all. That really gave a boost to my PMO habits. Well that and the internet which I got access to at that time.

Reading these posts motivates me to quit even more, since I don't ever want my future son to discover "my stash".

 

It's interesting to read these posts. I never found anything of my dad's if there was anything. But I have a young son. He's getting old enough now that he probably has or will be exposed to porn soon. We've talked about it. Have tried to warn him about what he might encounter and stuff to avoid -- e.g. ever sharing photos or anything. Hopefully, he'll be a bit prepared when the time comes and not end up a fap addict like this dad. That said, my biggest fear is him discovering what I'm up to late at night. I don't know which would be worse, him finding out and not talking to me about it or him coming to me to tell me he found out!

 

When I was 13/14 I used to ring sex lines up and when the phone bill came in my mother seen it and questioned me about it, was so embarrassing!

 

Has happened to me as well.
My parents are extreme cheap skates so a 76.99 phone bill was a beating.
It was usually $15 / month.

so many people at my work got busted for porn use on their company assigned iPhones. They did not think to use wi-fi and safari private mode. Lol

 

In fact, I got introduced to this nonsense on my dad's phone. There were many such out there but as I was scared the hell out, I didn't go much further on his phone at that time.

 

Thread makes me feel old I found a couple of "lovers guide" VHS tapes in my MUM's closet. Very interesting and informative to me as a teenager. Also a few erotic books in my parents' room, text only, which I read many times. Eventually discovered my older brother's copies of Playboy, Loaded, FHM etc. I was 18 before I was introduced to the 'real thing', and in my 20s before I was using it regularly. This gives me some hope, although I am 37 now. But I remember a time before this. It didn't warp my brain before I grew up, and it didn't affect my perception of sex until after I was already having it.
