I want to stop but I can't

    I'm 21, I used to read about bad effects of PMO and realized how that ruined my life. A few months ago, I joined NoFap and really succeeded for 2 weeks of no P and M, my life was improved alot but after that I still get relapse
    a few hours ago, I just watched P and did M. I'm really depressed and feel like I could never ever stop that action
    I want to kill myself
    I don't where to start quitting PMO

    First off, identify your triggers. What leads you to PMO-ing?
    Then, set your goals. Why do you want to quit PMO.
    Last but not the least, hold yourself accountable!

    :) I think these are the easiest steps someone can take when starting their journey.
    Remember to replace PMO-ing with positive habits, like going to the gym, reading, writing etc.

    I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling. Rebooting has its ups and downs, just like life. We see many people experiencing both the ups and downs during the reboot, and though it may be hard to see now, these feelings you are having won’t last forever. It will get better with time, if you are patient and wait.

    In the meantime, please seek professional help. I know the idea of calling a helpline might terrify you, but in times of crisis, we often need someone their to put our lives in perspective. So please contact someone who can help and don’t hang up on them. The International Association for Suicide Prevention maintains a list of suicide prevention hotlines for countries all over the world. Also, if you don’t feel up to actually talking to someone on the phone, StopSuicide maintains a list of online instant messaging and chat suicide prevention resources.

    You are not alone in this. There are ways to treat depression. Please contact people that can help you. Being depressed often makes it feel like you don’t have any more options. But that is a lie. That is just the depression talking. These feeling you have won’t last forever. We are in this with you, and we will all be cheering for you to get through this!

    Fapping ruined my life aswell. I lost almost everything to this addiction. Be strong and stay away from fapping for at least 90 days. That's my goal.

    I lost my girlfriend because of PMO and I think myself is also a trigger, I often have some erotic images in my head and everytime I finish my work I sometimes want to have orgasm
    that stupid habit kills me most of the time

    Yeah i also lost 4 years relationship with that. She just stop being interested in me when i became addicted... Idk women feel this stuff...

    nobody bro but I'm too addictive to P even I know how bad it is I still only resist porn for around 4days everytime I get relapsed I feel like I can't get away from P and M

    Try to M only instead of watching P and M... Just kill one of them in the beginning... After few times you will feel bored and you will stop M too

    Hey, I understand how you feel about the frustration of PMO it's very difficult to accomplish but, realize that you have support and the ability to achieve it. One thing I would recommend that helped me severely was look at things from a yearly perspective e.g. if you do relapse don't forget about the pain and use it to carry you forward and realize that you are improving from last year. As mentioned prior finding out potential reasons for relapse and minimizing those scenarios will be beneficial along with finding any hobbies that can preoccupy your time.

    well for me I think no girl was interested in me cause they have a thing in there brain that they can read you like a book I was looking up the weirdest shit after a while normal porn didn't do it for me

    I echo what has been written above. Know that there is hope for you.
    However, mindset is critical...

    What you can't do is fly or live forever... what you can do is give up PMO.
    I'm not being dismissive by saying that IMO you are not yet READY to stop.
    Until you adopt the I CAN DO THIS mindset you will struggle to achieve your goals...

    I hope this changes soon because YOU CAN DO THIS my friend.

    I'm have an incredibly addictive personality and I am using it to beat porn. Exercise is a good outlet and releases dopamine. An easy way to start is walking, a daily 10km walk is a decent way to begin. Just started hot yoga which is 90 minutes of torture, come out feeling much better.

    Replace a bad addiction with a good one.

    Thanks to your ways of quitting porn guys, my mood is now much better. It's still hard to resist it but I can hold myself accountable. I have a question ??
    how many days will It take to change into a new habit ??
     
  16. Regulatory read the Success Stories section for knowledge and inspiration. You need to slowly develop a system to change your habits, plus change 'I can't' into 'I will try'. You have started trying!
