I will not eat for 3 days. Will this shorten the duration of my flatline ?

Hi guys.

I am male, 26 and I am still in the flatline. Other name for the flatline is PAWS (post acute withdrawal symptoms). Check out my previous 42 months post for more information.

Current symptoms: Social anxiety, brain fog, anhedonia, fatigue, low energy, low motivation, low libido, no morning wood, weak bladder and urine stream.

The duration of the flatline (PAWS) lasts between 1-5 years. I am at month 43 with no relapse. No sex, no masturbation, no porn, no conscious ejaculation, no alcohol, no drugs, no medication, nothing.

I would like to shorten the duration of my flatline with an extreme form of fasting. Will this work ?

Have any of you had any experience ? What could happen to me if I do not eat for 3 days ? I have not eaten for 10 hours and I am hungry.

However, I noticed the following positive things: It seems that I have no other problems in my life than hunger. My blood pressure seems to be low. I seem to be relaxed and at ease. I feel stronger because I do not give in to my ego. I somehow have more motivation to get things done. I only noticed a small energy boost today after 9 hours.

Be careful brother.

I went on a starvation bender for about 5 months and lost 55 pounds during that time.
I noticed I was continually light headed, my blood pressure was very low and my heartrate went low as well.
Not being a doctor I did not think this was bad, and kept on my extreme diet.

Then I started nofap and the drop in dopamine and all the other brain changes of brain reset were initially ok.
But then I started having seizures and had memory loss and all sorts of other brain related problems.
It was similar to what can happen to alcoholics if they give up booze.

I was put on all sorts of medications by a neurologist, who diagnosed me with epilepsy, but being an obstinant son of a b.tch I did not think that was right and stopped taking the medication.

What I did do however was to eat normally, and gained 10 pounds, still 45 pounds down from my fat weight, but now I feel great, and have not had another seizure or the continual light headedness and dizzy spells. My memory is now back to normal as well.

The brain needs nourishment, and if you do not provide it, all sorts of bad things can happen, as in my case.
So I would advise against any forms of extreme fasting, just eat good healthy foods and give your brain and body what it needs.
There are a lot of foods which will promote dopamine production including bananas which have lots of dopamine inside them and tomatoes which have tyrosine which is used in the production of dopamine.

You will get over PAWS, of that you can be sure, but give your brain the nutrients it needs to complete repairs.

Cheers for now.

You have a job.
You are still suffering from PAWS.
The weather is hot.

And you want to starve yourself of food? Not a smart idea!

I know man. If I didn't have a job, I would continue. But I will work tomorrow so I am not sure if I should break my fast…

I've never tried fasting myself but my dad does intermittent fasting, where he only eats at certain times of the day and he's lost a good amount of weight from it and says he feels a lot less tired and more refreshed and ready to go. Might be worth trying that instead of starving yourself.

Look at this guy for example, the last time he wrote either a comment or a post was 11 months ago. Two years ago, he posted he was 2 years free from PMO. He must have healed at this point being 4 years off PMO.

When they recover, they seldom return to share their journey. By the time they get out of PAWS, It's unfathomable to them to write a success story and to even be a part of group of people that suffer.

Just be patient and never despair from God's mercy.

StrangerWatch is still in PAWS. I chatted with him recently on WhatsApp. And he is at month 43 like me. Not 4 years.
