It has been a long time since I first realized there is something very wrong with pornography. In 2016, I managed to stay 30 days without porn without any knowledge about these anti-porn, science based and awareness websites. I did it when I read a "spiritual" message seemingly channeled from "Jesus" by someone, which stated that masturbation is dangerous and a door for evil entities.
Anyway, as I didn't have more knowledge and as I am a ration person, of course I relapsed. I still remember the first porn video I saw when I relapsed and it was about a sexy woman having sex with an old man. This might seem disgusting for you but for it was still cool at the time. How ignorant I was!

There was another time when I had tried to quit porn and I was looking everywhere for websites which prove that porn is harmful, with very little success.

Everyone said that masturbation was natural, they didn't mention about the harmful effects of porn and even the Buddhist websites didn't say anything bad about porn. There was only a Youtube video by a Buddhist monk who tried to teach that porn is an addiction and how to quit it. That was. I was disappointed. So, of course, I relapsed!

Fortunately for me, in November 2017, I found a website of doctor Wilson who presented the spiritual harmful effects of watching pornography and also the mental effects.
I remember he mentioned one young man who started to walk like a robot after using pornography for so many years and even his legs showed differently and were not normal.

So, again I quit porn. I had also quit smoking on the 20th of September 2018.
I managed to resist about 43 days or so without porn. However, I felt that in order not to relapse I need something more scientific, something backed by science.

So, the first website I found was yourbrainonporn, which I recommend. There were also others which put light in my life and made me realize the dangers of porn and the hidden agenda of those behind the porn industry. I had always wondered why porn is available everywhere and why it's for free. Now, I know why.

Anyway, I wanted to encourage with my story and express how much I regret that didn't find the nofap.com website earlier. Everything would have been much better.

I am on my 63th day without porn now and I don't plan to relapse. I also want to quit masturbation and perhaps do it only once in a month or even less.

Stay strong and change your lives.

  2. Both of these videos are rather long, but well worth the watch on how to get off of porn and the sciences behind it. The first video is more of a self help guide. The second video is 100% science and not religious in any way, which I actually liked about it being religious myself. I know you’re on day 60 but thought these would prove helpful. I would say keep going man and do 90 days then try to introduce masturbation back. Your story is definitely inspiring and thank you for it man.
