If someone told you this before you started porn, would you have looked?

  1. The overstimulation literally destroys your personality, blunts it and makes you it's slave. We've all been conned by this filthy destructive habit

An excellent post, though admittedly in my case, I'm not sure how things would've turned out. From the start I knew I was doing something that I shouldn't be doing, but curiosity coupled with a certain thrill of doing something bad behind everyone's backs unfortunately won over... Still, if someone would've just sat down with me and explained everything, there would've been a good chance I would've stopped.

I agree. The way my upbringing went and just the way circumstances came together, there's no way I could have avoided addiction to porn. The important thing is to take action now because now I have a choice and there are simply no excuses.

It really does. It takes who you really are and just erases it. The amazing thing is that noone talks about it. Certainly not 10 years ago. At least there is more awareness growing around this now.

I was depressed and on medication for years. Check out this website: dominatedepression.com. I went through this program and it completely transformed my life. I got off of antidepressants and my mood is healthier than it's ever been.

Yes, I've always had a thrill to do bad things. Looking back at my life, I've always been very wild and out of control. Finally at 29 I feel like I'm starting to get a handle on myself. I'm just getting too old for this shit. I'll say this though, I never had a thrill of taking crack or heroin. Now, equating porn with crack and heroin, which I firmly believe is true, I can see that it isn't for me. I think if it was compared to crack or heroin (or worse because it's actually probably more addictive and stimulating for someone like me who is naturally high sex drive) before I gave it a try, I would have had a better shot at staying away from it.

I'm the kind of guy who is obsessed with beautiful women and dating so if you told me how catastrophic it is in this area I think that would have been enough to keep me away. Now that I know this, it's much easier to stay away. Also, when you end up in a place in your life where you just lose hope, it's very easy to say fuck the consequences. This can happen before starting porn or even while you're still addicted. You say to yourself, fuck it, I'll never be able to get a girl anyway, and then you relapse.

    - if it would have been made clear to me what the real consequences truely are, what's at stake for me - then I would have avoided that shit like the plague! I'm pretty sure.

btw, I doubt that. I understand the point you're making. But let's not underestimate drug addiction!

True, heroin, crack, and meth are definitely nothing to be underestimated. However, hardcore porn use can lead to gender disassociation, exposing one's self in public, voyeurism, pedophilia, and the list goes on and on. I would consider that at least as bad as crack, heroin, or meth. From experience, the consequences of porn are definitely as bad or worse than nicotine, and the addiction level is comparable.
