I'm a 22yo dude, and I need a change

New Fapstronaut
Good day everyone,
I saw a video on Youtube, an interview with a guy who hadn't masturbated for 400+ days apparently. I thought of it as a joke at first, but what if it was actually true? So I decided to take this journey myself. To see how far I can go.
I consider that I masturbate too often. It's most of the time once a day, and most of the times it is not even a regular sexual drive, it has become a necessity. I slightly feel ashamed whenever it happens because I know I can be better than that. But I haven't been able to overcome this yet, also given the fact that it has been going on for a great amount of time now.
I'm glad I saw this video, I think it can be a new start, and the best thing is not knowing where it leads. What is sure is that it will not be a bad destination, quite the contrary. I deeply need a change and I think there is a path here I can definitely explore here.
Also, if you have any advice, any feedback on your own experience, especially on confidence, feel free to share them with me!

Thank you for reading me!

Hi Breadloaf 350gr! Welcome to NoFap :)

One of the things I think is important is maintaining motivation to stay clean. I would often start a streak thinking this is IT. In a year, I will have 365 days. Or at some point that idea would develop.

However I found it was easy for me to lose the necessary motivation. So I think that part of finding long-term recovery is finding what works to maintain a sense of motivation.

Right now I'm doing the forums every day and hoping it has that effect. But whatever works for you to stay motivated will be good.

I didn't just do PMO once and say, "OK, I figured it all out. I'm set for life now." I kept practicing PMO. I kept reinforcing PMO every day. I worked a PMO program.

So I need to do the same with recovery. I can't just say, "I read the getting started guide. I got it now. I'm set for life." I have to keep reinforcing recovery every day, just like I reinforced PMO every day. (I think!)
