I'm guessing most of you are introverts

I am an introvert. I was once shy to the point of very bad social anxiety, but that has gradually worn away over time. Now I am just mildly shy with an introverted personality type.

Being around people all day can be extremely draining, meaning I have to depart from the company of others for a while to recharge the batteries, so to speak. Residing in groups and keeping a flow of conversation can take a lot of effort, which is why I am glad I hang out with my fellow political activists, who are content to sit and read the news or political books if nobody has anything to say.

Susan Cain, a well-known introverted author, has actually made the claim that introverts are in the same place that women were during the Civil Rights era. Extroverts are not innately better human beings. In Japanese culture, for example, it is introversion (calmness, composure, equanimity) which is striven for and extroversion (loud, chatty, uninhibited) which is looked down upon.

 

Im definitely an introvert, I don't often feel to awkward in big crowds but I find that after a day of hanging around people I need one or two days to spend in a quiet environment to reenergize.

 

Personally i do not think that there is any drastic difference between so called introverts and extroverts. That's just one more thing made by someone who wants to earn money basically preaching hot air.
I do not like crowds, meeting people on the street and saying "hi"(where i live it is common thing to do) clubs and similar things but i LOVE moshpits and metal concerts. So where this puts me? Schizophrenic introvert? I am mostly comfortable talking to people but i can not stand stupid individuals and can not listen same story over and over again because it is soooooo boring.
I assume that this can be the case with most of the people taking to account slight differences we have.

Just break the chains of popular culture and so called medicine who's only purpose is to make money out of your misery. Their final goal is not to help you but to keep you in hands longest as possible selling you magical pills to cure your "introvert personality"

I do not deny that there are people who need help of therapist but what we have today is "pornographycation" of entire culture. When i say this i do not think of some psychologist who talk dirty to you but rather of "doctors" who exploit people who do not need help or even worse people who really need it but going nowhere.

It's just ridiculous!
