Just found this site and hope it can help. I'm 40, male, married and have been getting addicted to chat groups like kik for around 5 years. My health has began to suffer and I'm amazed I've not been caught yet. I lose hours at a time and have to make excuses about what I've been doing for so long.

    I need it to stop.

    Hello Rick.
I'm also new on here, wishing you every success in preserving.
I'm beating myself after a relapse after one week, but can tell you for sure that I had started to feel better on day 5...I'm sure this is different for each person..but really try to distract yourself as much as possible. I'm trying again now, and really determined to get some good feelings back again...it really does feel good initially to find that self control, and along with that confidence starts to creep back.Just watch out for any mind games and trickery the brain tries to justify, that's where I slipped up.. Good luck.
