What a fantastic thread this is. Such wonderful advice and reading. I have already learned a lot just by reading this. I still know that a lifelong addiction to porn and masturbation will not be overcome overnight either. I expect a struggle. But I desire to have a closer relationship with The Lord and this has been crippling me for years. I want to be a better father to my adult kids and grandkids too. I'm so glad God led me to this site.

Very good summary. Can I also suggest illness as a trigger which people need to be aware of? From my own experience I know when I am sick my defenses are lower, while my need for relief and sense of entitlement are higher! Not a good place to be in.
