I'm sorry but it's extremely uncomfortable to read threads that use "cock" "cum" "tits" like comon. It's a website for pornography addiction. And many people here have also been addicted to erotica which is a form of porn. I honestly think these words shouldn't be allowed. It's just uncomfortable. Oh man.
If we can't post the word v i a g r a why can we post these other words? It seems a bit backwards to me...

Along with that thread about the weirdest places they jerk off, it makes me want to leave this site.

Well that was not done because the word is triggering (which it isn't). It was done to deal with the amount of spam that was coming through advertising places to supply it. As for the other words, I don't think you can legislate for slang really. o_O

We bring meaning to these words, it's the other words which can be triggering and uncomfortable. Porn uses these words to the max, phone sex, web cam sex, erotica ect.. These words aren't "regular slang", these are words used specifically in a sexually charged context. I definitely did not mean v i a g r a. I'm pretty sure I don't go around in a site for pornography addiction saying "I can't keep my hands off my cock" (I'm a woman so i wouldn't say it anyway since I don't have one lol) which is triggering for some people.

I understand what you mean. I just cannot see how it is possible to get everybody to use medical language like penile tumescence, nocturnal emission, vulva, breasts, male/female vasocongestion, clitoris, penis and bulbourethral fluid etc.

Alright! Tits, fuck, cum, ass, pussy, cock. How about boobs, sex, jizz, butt, vagina, penis. This is my opinion not a notion for change.

I'm sorry, but when you said these words shouldn't be allowed, I thought you meant that these words shouldn't be allowed.

Again, an opinion. Not an actual notion for change. Just a statement. Okay?

  15. That was just for jokes, sometimes it's good to laugh at embarrassing moments. But I do apologize if that offended you in any way.

I understand, it's just awkward to read is all. It's a little bit of a thought trigger (not to me personally) to see a bunch of guys talk about places they've beat their meat in, I was going to reply but I found as a woman it would have been weird for me to answer the question. It's cool man, no biggie.

It's not about offending anyone, I'm most definitely not offended it's just some people are a little sensitive to these types of things especially the new people just starting. If I had just started and read the post I would have been fantasizing about all these guys choking their chickens in all these different places. But since I'm not new or easily triggered I'm fine, it's not the op or the people here just the slightly triggering use of words. No way am I judging anyone, who am I to judge? When I saw the post I merely thought about all the places where I've done that which didn't trigger me. Anyway, it's not a biggie, I'm still going to use this site but I prefer not to say anything too "riskeh" if you know what I mean haha :D no harm done

Psychologically, one has to face triggers in order to beat them.

I get what your saying @wildwood

It is ridiculous, but people are going to misinterpret or take things the wrong way. It is frustrating to see these people who stood by you so long ago going against you. I'm sorry this forum has become such a rabbit hole of biased, intolerant people.

I understand that pain and I'm sorry you have to argue with people about semantics. Have a good spring break and if this place isn't for you anymore, I completely get where you are coming from. This is one of the major reasons why I keep to my group. People just hate anything that goes against what they think.

I hope you are staying strong. Im still fighting, though hard, it is still going. We can't faulter in the face of adversity.

I think XenForo allows options for tagging different threads differently - so perhaps posts/threads that use that kind of language could just have a "Trigger Warning" tag at the start so that people particularly sensitive to that kind of language could avoid them.

I agree about the "weirdest places you've jerked off" thread. Particularly if the person making the post is someone who got off on the weird location/the taboo of the location or whatever then re-telling those experiences to others could cause a whole bunch of new urges. It's like me, I'm an ex-opiate addict so I don't go around telling people the stories of my most strong opiate experiences or whatever. Memories and feelings group themselves by association, and so recalling fond memories of a habit you want to be free of, can be a recipe for disaster. So I'd be wary about recalling such experiences unless you're already super comfortable with your triggers.

That said, it's also important to be able to learn to face certain triggers. You can't hide from them forever, you can certainly minimise the amount of them you see, but certain ones, especially language based ones, you need to retrain your thinking surrounding them, otherwise eventually it's going to end badly. Otherwise it'd be better to avoid the internet altogether, since you're going to see those words all the time all over the place.

    Just some thoughts!
