Incredible Humility

As I contemplated the birth of our Lord yesterday, I was struck with the realization that the most supreme being in the universe sent His only begotten son to be born in a freezing, dirty animal's shelter. He could have chosen any pretentious castle and its queen for Christ's birth but God chose the humblest of places but with the purest of women. Clearly, God has no value for material wealth nor a need to prove His glory. However, he showed us that by choosing our sweet, clement Mother Mary to be Jesus's mother that He values what lies in our hearts and soul and not where we live or what we possess. Be encouraged brothers and sisters for our struggle to purify our hearts and minds is the path to God. We are on the path!
