The feeling I've got in this process of quitting porn is a feeling I got through the process of quitting alcohol and slaying the things that drove me to drink; a feeling of gaining a new consciousness and life, like waking from a nightmare.

My entire adult life I suffered with PEID. I'm 38 now. I think I even had that issue when I became sexually active at 18. I assumed, not unreasonably, that my anxiety issues were the cause of this problem. But I was left with a puzzle of why this wasn't cleared up once I had conquered my anxiety issues. It wasn't until this past fall that I was told about the harmful affects of porn, and realized that that was the source of problems.

for the last several months i was in standard mode. Had been doing hard mode off and on, but it wasn't until this past week that things really started to click. Sex has been amazing, which has opened the doors to relationships and new possibilities. And yesterday I went from completely flacid, to hard, to organisming completely hands and contact free. I have NEVER been able to do that before. That blew my mind. I was shocked.

I've come a long ways, and have made huge strides, but I still have quite a long ways to go to get to a point of true health and normality. Still struggle with ideations and a few other things. Going to take the opportunity now to double down on the progress and go for 90 day hard mode, and build off the progress already made.

What I have found fascinating is that this truly is your own experiment. You are your own lab. See what works, see what doesn't, there really are no set backs unless you give up and stop learning from your mistakes. But if you keep learning, keep trying, then eventually it'll click.
