NOTE : PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR BRAND NEW PMO REBOOT SONGS !
(I can't find a way to display new posts at the top. Sorry!)

So here's my story :

I am ashamed to say, but I have been suffering from PMO addiction since I was 12 years old. As a 27 year old man-child, I am still trying to get off this teenage infatuation.

I have journeyed a long way and it has been such a roller-coaster ride. The up-and-down emotional journey has drained me so much, that all I wan to do is become a brand new person, let go of my self-destructive habits and become someone I can be proud of.

Maybe I can be someone the world can be proud of.

We all go through hard times when it comes to rebooting from PMO. PMO sets up a vicious cycle over years of repetition, and breaking away from that self-destructive cycle requires great motivation, internal drive and endless inspiration.

We can get that inspiration from within and from those who surround us. But a powerful tool that that re-organize and build brand new synapses in our brains is --- MUSIC.

Music has proven to be a great tool in breaking old habits and building branding new habits. As a music curator, I have immense interest in applying this tool to my own rebooting journey.

So starting today, I will be posting regular curated music to inspire all of those following this thread to keep going strong.

Keep believing in your dreams. Keep believing in those dreams that you've built for yourself. To become a better person, to become a brand new person, to be someone who you can be proud of. Someone's reflection you can smile at in the morning mirror.

You can do it! Keep going strong! Because I am. And I will be there with all you guys.

I scream at myself when there’s nobody else to fight
I don’t lose, I don’t win, if I’m wrong, then I’m halfway right

Used to get high with the dead end kids
Abandoned houses where the shadows live
I never been higher than I was that night
I woke up driving my car

I couldn’t see then what I see right now
The road dissolving like an an empty vow
Couldn’t remember where I’ve been that night
I knew that I took it too far

All you said to do was slow down
I remember, now I remember
All you said to do was slow down
But I was already gone..

-- Linkin Park : "Halfway Right"

"I know a man with nothing in his hands, nothing but a rolling stone
He told me about when his house burnt down, and he lost everything he owned
He lay asleep for six whole weeks, they were gonna ask his mother to choose
When he woke up with nothing he said I'll tell you something
When you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose
.
"

-- Passenger : "Holes"

Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me

Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I prayed I could break away

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes 'til I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway."

-- Kelly Clarkson : "Breakaway"

"I'm not a stranger to the dark
Hide away, they say
'Cause we don't want your broken parts

I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars
Run away, they say
No one will love you as you are

But I won't let them break me down to dust
I know that there's a place for us
For we are glorious

When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me"

-- Keala Settle : "This is Me"

"Why can't I change after all these years?
Why can't I change my ways?
I find it so strange after all these years
I'm still more or less the same

Wherever I go, whatever I do, whatever I know
It just comes and goes so soon
Whatever life brings, whatever song it sings
I'm still whistling the same old tune

Why can't I change after all these years?
Why can't I change my ways?
I find it so strange after all these years
I'm still more or less the same

Whoever I'm with, whatever I take, whatever I give
I'm still running the same old ways
Whatever choice I make, whatever road I take
But I still wind up in the same old place"

-- Passesnger : "Why Can't I Change?"

"You're broken down and tired
Of living life on a merry go round
And you can't find the fighter
But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out

And move mountains
We gonna walk it out
And move mountains..

And I'll rise up
I'll rise like the day
I'll rise up
I'll rise unafraid
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousand times again
"

"Once I was seven years old my momma told me
Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Once I was seven years old

It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure

Once I was eleven years old my daddy told me
Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely
Once I was eleven years old
I always had that dream like my daddy before me

So I started writing songs, I started writing stories
Something about that glory just always seemed to bore me
'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me

Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
Before the morning sun, when life was lonely
Once I was twenty years old.."

"When you feel you're alone
Cut off from this cruel world
Your instincts telling you to run

Listen to your heart
Those angel voices
They'll see you to you
They'll be your guide
Back home where life leaves us blind
Love keeps us kind
It keeps us kind..

When you suffered it all
And your spirit is breaking
You're growing desperate from the fight
Remember your love
And you always will be
This melody will always bring
You right back home."

"You could go the distance
You could run the mile
You could walk straight through hell with a smile

You could be the hero
You could get the gold
Breaking all the records that thought, never could be broke
Do it for your people
Do it for your pride
How you ever gonna know if you never even try?
Do it for your country
Do it for you name

'Cause there's gonna be a day
When your, standing in the hall of fame

"

@RecoveryBegins, sorry but none of that music would help me as much as this song would guide you

“Look in the basement of your heart, there is a light that just went dark, look through the wreckage to find reverie, there is a truth that we all shall see...”
