Hello. Since November 27th- December 7th, I was sober, no PMO. During those 10 days, I woked up same time, took cold showers, exercised some days, journal writing, and most importantly used positive powerful affirmations to attack my negatives thoughts. It was working. Based on my activity tracker spreadsheet in Excel, I was making progress. I was feeling good and focused. But I just knew, those triggers would arrived. Between Day 1-Day 10, I felt some urges emotionally and mentally to watch porn and masturbate, but I use my out circle activities to overcome it. Now on Day 11, I woke up late around 10:30am. That was one my triggers. So, I ran two miles of cardio. It worked for a while. Then, hours later, on Saturday, the sexual fantasies came. I resisted for a few minutes. But those thoughts would not stop attacking my mind. It was interrupting my concentrative. So, I acted out. I wish I would of fought those urges some more.

What strategies do you have for deal with high intense urges?

Create a safe space. I suggest your bedroom, where you have no screens or internet connected devices. If you're really struggling, go there and stay there for as long as it takes, and make this the priority in your life.

This is really just one of many tools I use, but it does help.

Also remember: urges do pass. Be prepared for them to come back, but they will be less persistent with time.

Breathe deeply and take long inhales - exhales and then remember the truth about what PMO does to you. Then, reach out to an accountability partner or any other person to talk, that diffuses the urge. Lastly do something different than what you were doing for 20 minutes (like you said the urges interrupt your concentration and that made you relapse so there's no point fighting, just escaping)
