    Hey

So its been since late last December since I went to a porn site. However, its only been a few days since I went to google and typed in the famous name of a female porn actress. I didn't even see her in provocative photos. I stopped myself before I got that far but still...

Anyways, I noticed that every morning I wake up thinking about past porno videos I've seen with very attractive people doing what they do in porn videos. Every morning I weigh the pros and cons of going to a porn site then every morning I talk myself out of going to the porn site. Honestly, I miss it. I don't know why humans like to watch other humans having sex but we do for some strange reason.

Anyways, does anyone know how long these thoughts stay in your head and how long you think about the past porn videos you've seen and how badly you want to go watch porn before its just a thing of the past?

    Cheers.

  2. I miss it too. I think about it a lot. I fantasize about watching it and think about my past self watching it and how I wish I could experience it like that again. I even had a dream that I searched some stuff up on Google. I was relived when I woke up. But it's not worth it. I have a family that I'm trying to get rid of this for. So I could be a good husband and set a good example for my kid.

    Hey man!

Glad someone understands how I feel. Do you have any idea how long it takes before you have completely forgot about your past experiences with porn, you forget about attractive people on the internet you used to watch and its not even a thought you experience or think about any more or is that just an unrealistic exception?

  4. It takes time. I was free for about a year and then relapsed during quarantine. I'm currently at about a month. Idk if it will ever go away but it does get easier ince you get in the swing of things. I'm trying to work on self control. I have a bad habit of ogling.

What you feed in your mind will grow so if you are constantly thinking about and starting at, having sexual fantasies about. Those thoughts and ideas will stay in your mind and it will be harder to get away from porn and other bad habits. Try replacing that with good thoughts and positive thinking. It's hard but it's possible.

Hey thats interesting... I wonder how I can do that in the morning - replacing the thoughts of porn and attractive humans I want to see on the internet with - something else - whatever that will be. Interesting.

    Thanks for the idea brother.

I can definitely relate to the part about deliberating over the pros and cons. The thing is I can only ever think of one pro which is a few moments of pleasure whereas on the cons side I could have 50 reasons.

Sometimes though the one pro still outweighs the 50 cons :emoji_face_palm:

i am a newer fapstronaut. I thank you for stating how important it is to keep the mind clear of sexual thoughts and images. It is like a trap door to recovery. its hard to control the mind and even harder to close your eyes. i Live in a college town with young girls running around in spandex a lot. Some addictions are harder than others depending on whether one can avoid triggers. ie) staying away from alcohol is harder than from avoiding cocaine. People with eating problems may have it the worst for obvious reasons. i remember a priest saying 'if your eyes cause you to sin, cut them out" ill thank god im not stupid enough to heed that advise.

Been almost two years and I still find myself missing it sometimes and remembering videos of old. It’s very frustrating but perhaps this will never go away completely.

I still have porn flashbacks/sexual fantasies too, but what's important is to not to jerk off over them or otherwise is a relapse of PMO and FMO together. Think about something else that is important like our health, housing for shelter, etc.

I was in that phase on my first few weeks of nopmo, which is when you HAVE to resist all urges as that is the time where youre most horny and will likely relapse. However as you go through noPMO youll till get flashbacks, whether they be intense flashbacks or flashbacks that you dismiss quickly it's all because your brain is begging you to go back, so it takes what it has left of the neuroplactic changes and basically begs you to water it like a plant. if you can resist these flashbacks you may still get them for a while, I've been getting them since like day 80 and it seems like they wont go away. At first you worry that it is a sign you are not healing or that it is thwarting your recovery. Not true, it basically the equivalent of having a sexual dream that is not in your control, however it can be a problem if you chase after those flashbacks and dwell on the memories.
