introducing me //

hi, everyone! i've known that this community exists for a while due to reddit, but never thought i should become a part of it until recently. after a lot of thought and prayer, i realized that the temptations for PMO are too strong for me to combat by myself. hence, why i am here.

i am a 20-year-old girl, a christian, a college student, and a barista. i haven't necessarily considered myself addicted to pornography or masturbation the way many people are, and for that, i'm thankful. still, i do know that if either of these indulgences gets out of hand, it could become a problem that hinders my life and relationships with myself, others, and god. i started masturbating and enjoying pornographic material (written and visual) around age 13, but it didn't become a problem until i started college and became a christian about two and a half years ago.

i just want to not have to feel the pull of pornography and to not have to depend on the dopamine rush that an orgasm brings. i want to not have them be idols in my life and instead turn to healthy relationships with myself and others. i hope that this community becomes a means of helping me gain that mentality in everyday life. you all are strong people for working and not giving up on yourselves. i'm so proud to be a new member here.
