    Hi all,

I am newleaf9. It's obvious given where this thread has been posted but I am new here. I am 22 years old and have been masturbating to pornography for the better part of my life. I was one of those kids who had unrestricted access to the internet growing up and this led me to discovering porn at a young age. It wasn't until maybe a year or 2 ago where I came to the realization that I have a severe addiction to pornography. Before that, I had never even considered that what I'm doing might be an issue. Never did I imagine that I would suffer any consequences from these actions, largely due to being uneducated on the matter. I display the typical symptoms; requiring more "extreme" videos to get the job done, being unable to quit despite desperately wanting to, and ED when engaging with sexual partners. I use Viagara to help but I am only 22! And even if I manage to achieve an erection with a partner, ejaculation is nigh impossible.

Throughout the time since I realized I need to stop, there were periods where I would fight really hard, followed by periods where I didn't care. This cycle repeats every once in a while. But even during the time where I was really focusing on quitting, I found it extremely difficult to go even a few days without PMO. Lo and behold, I have failed and continue to fail. Thus, my issue has brought me to this forum.

I have created this account, and this thread, in an attempt to kickstart my recovery journey in a more sustainable way. I hope that by doing this, I can begin to take myself and my addiction more seriously. I will try to post regular updates on my progress so that I, and others, can hold myself accountable.

If you have any tips or advice for a newcomer, or just want to say hi, please feel free to let me know. I am excited to undergo this journey with you all.

    Thanks,
    newleaf9
