    Hey there fapstronauts.

In a last ditch effort to try and break my pornography addiction and masturbation habits like many of us here I've decided to join in on the community. While I've been on a progressive streak for almost a month now between working out 6 days a week, reading(and learning to speed read), programming for fun again, drawing everyday, writing, teaching myself the guitar, and forcing myself to go beyond my comfort zones the calling for porn and masturbating has been relentless. Probably the worst its ever been for me personally.

The issue also became more apparent to me recently when I rejected a girl's advances who was ready to go in favor of just masturbating over some stupid porn instead. Its hard to admit but this wasn't the first time this happened either. Its clearly gone too far.

    A little history about myself.

I've been addicted to masturbation since I was 5 on an account of early exposure (and it just feeling good) and sexual abuse. While I've come to terms and am over the latter the early exposure certainly is wild to think about.

As for pornography the earliest memory I have of it was around the age of 11 due to an early internet addiction and how easy it was to find it. Surprisingly this has never devolved into more degenerate areas and I'm happy for that, and I'm going to take control of this addiction in anticipation of what could be and what opportunities I voluntarily could miss out on in the future.

My goal here in being here is mostly to try and bring myself into fruition of the man I can become by kicking these habits. I'm already big on self improvement but clearly not enough on the discipline part if I'm still allowing stupid habits like these to eat at me.

As of today I've made the decision to become that better man. I will become that better man.

Welcome EnterMarcus, I'm a newbie too. It sounds like you're doing a great job of being productive with your time
It's hard reading some of your history and struggles but it's also admirable and uplifting to know you're not prepared to be a victim of this and taking control of your life. Sometimes that requires admitting the problem and getting a little help.
    All the best!
