Im going to try for 30 day's just because its short enough to not seem to long. Im trying to wake up between 5:30 to 6:30Am. Im also trying to run every morning (a really short jog about 5-7 minutes) then I come home and meditate for five minutes do 50 pushups and 30 sit-ups, this all only takes about 15 minutes. At night I do 50 Pushups 30 situps read for 30 minutes and pray for 3 minutes go to bed between 9:00 and 12:00pm. The NoFap thing is important too. It seems like it should be easy but I never make it a week Ive tried like 7 or 8 times now!

Hopefully This helps keep me honest Im trying to change my life but like they say old habits die hard. Im wondering how you do this when your single? Because I could see If I was having sex that would be a lot easier. After like a week of NoFap I feel like the slightest thing just sets me off and I cant stop myself. Well anyways hello people and anybody got some advice on addiction please dont hold back because Im addicted to alot.

    hi clb,

30 days is good for beginning. when you reach this goal you can extend it.

meditation is very important. read success stories in this forum.

find a hobby which can be your porn-substitute.

you need much willpower in this period. good luck.

Its different for every one. i m almost more than 2 months and still there a urges sometimes even harder. the best method is dont think abt it. we trained our brain to think and see it. thoughts and visuals r the reason of urges and relapse. as far as possible ull stay from these thing as long ull go. throw every sexual material away from ur mind and life if u want to quit. after 90 days try to divert ur mind and body to real things instead of fantasies.

It's a great first step, if you follow through with it for 30 days, you'll realize that 90 days isn't that long.

If you came to it's probably because PMO had bad side effects on your life... Which probably means you've been fapping for a long time. 30 days is not enough to remove x years of brain conditioning. But as napionder said it's a good first step. Just be aware that urges won't disappear magically after 90 days :)

In my opinion it's not about the streak - as good as that is - but about the lifestyle changes that you make over the course of time. Don't try to do too much at once but have some lifestyle change goals to aim for over, say, 90 days.

    Good routine.

I guess the question is, "is 30 days enough for what?". As someone who is currently on a 30 day challenge myself, I'll say I don't expect it to be enough to make every single change I want to see, or to completely break the hold that PMO has had on me for the last ~18 years.

That said, I frankly don't know if I'm capable of quitting cold turkey for good right now. I see 30 days as a stepping stone to getting there, though. I've done a 10 day challenge and I like setting goals that I think I can reach. Not easy goals, mind you, but reachable ones. My hopes are to build some momentum, gradually prove to myself that I can do this, and work towards giving it up for good over time. These challenges are the first tangible progress I've ever made towards that end, so I suppose for me, 30 days is enough to feel like I've made progress, and that's the important part.
