Is a picture of a nude woman considered porn?

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Jun 11, 2018.

  1. I have decided to stop watching porn videos because I find them harmful to my health. However, I believe masturbation to be something that is healthy when done in moderation. I do not have a girlfriend or partner. I recently MO to a picture of a nude woman, who was not engaged in any type of sexual activity. Is that picture considered pornography?

  2. remember, your brain doesn't know what porn is. if it stimulates you and engages the neural pathways that have been sensitized from porn consumption, then it is a hindrance to your progress and should be avoided if you truly want to recover.

You still kid and might get aroused by only woman face but over time you will build tolerance to the point you dont care about having a girlfriend. After that we welcome you to our community ☺

You shouldn’t look at it during your recovery imo.

But, as far as porn goes, there’s always the intent of BOTH the picture and of you. Is the woman showing you anatomical locations of her boobs and privates, or is she showing you just how ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS they are? Also, concerning you, did you seek it out of lust, or did you do it for an actual constructive purpose?

I once looked a few up for a prank which I made to troll the fuckboy ex of my best friend, I didn't even got a boner.Don't think that you must end your streak.

I think that "movie-porn" is way more harmful

  7. Of course, it's porn! If you're really dedicated to your rebooting process, you should NEVER look at ANYTHING that leads you to MO.
For me, my old fetish (don't want to name it) can be considered P, because I want to MO to it and it led me to this addiction. It doesn't have much to do with sex or even nudity most of the time! I'm sure many people here can relate.
But a picture of a naked woman which you MOd too? Oh, come on...

  8. Yes it is definitely a form of porn. It was a naked woman, it aroused you and you mo'd to it.

  9. i dont think it is porn, but masturbating to it is not a good idea especially during your reboot.

  10. By itself, a photograph of a nude is no more porn than a painting of a nude is.

It becomes porn when we make it such in our head. I can look at nudes in museum all day long and not get sexually aroused because my brain doesn't take those images and run with them.

The human body is beautiful and is best admired when looked at in a healthy manner.

  11. I'll agree with everyone that has said porn is in the eye of the beholder. If you start to use nude pictures of women as a replacement for porn, it will in turn become your new porn.

  12. I appreciate the replies and I now have a follow-up question: is masturbation to one’s thoughts the only healthy form? Or is there no healthy form?

The issue with masturbation is it's a non ending spiral downwards in terms of what will arouse you. You may think that you can sustain arousal by imagination only, but that will quickly fade and you'll find yourself seeking weird ways to get turned on. essentially you'll be playing with fire, because without video's and pictures of women you'll begin to find creative ways like cross dressing or something weird like that.

Don't play with fire, if you want to beat PMO, you have to fight it as a package. The only acceptable type of stimulation should be with another person.

  14. I think that masturbation CAN be okay, but not for us addicts and especially not while trying to recover. I make the assumption that nearly every single guy out there has M'd more than once in his life. Most guys do not have the problem we do and thus, it has not turned into an addiction for them. So if you are a single guy and have gone without sex for a long time, then I think that M is a healthy sexual release.

All that being said, we PA's are NOT in any way near a position to play around with what I would term "healthy" M. I would absolutely not try to frame, legitimize, or qualify any M as being healthy until you are well beyond even asking the question (YEARS beyond). And even then, who is to say that it wouldn't trigger you into a relapse? Personally, I hope to never find myself in a position to want to test that idea.

  15. Of course it is. Do you not know what porn is?? Porn is artificial sexual stimulation. If it's something made to turn you on, then it's porn, nuff said.
