Is avoiding coffee during rebooting a good idea?

    I don't know if quitting coffee will help to get a clearer mind or if it will interfere with it. I know that coffee withdrawals are really bad (during first 1-2 weeks).
    Anyone of you experienced it before?

  2. Personally I wouldn't even want to quit coffee. But I also think maybe trying to quit too many things at the same time might be biting off a little more than you would want to chew.

    The short answer is yes, you should avoid caffeine if possible. I made a post similar to this after my last long streak several months ago. I had suffered from horrible anxiety that I think was exasperated by me drinking coffee during my reboot. On more recent streaks I’ve since cut it out completely and my anxiety has diminished by a considerable margain. For me caffeine withdrawals mainly involved neck pain and headaches for around three days but afterwards I was fine. If you suffer from anxiety or mental symptoms during NoFap I would strongly suggest cutting out caffeine. It is a stimulant and any sort of stimulant is going to inhibit your brain’s natural recovery process...

    I can barely drink one cup of coffee currently while trying to reboot. And when I drink that cup, I have to make sure I drink plenty of water too. I defitnley already have some anxiety going on while trying to reboot, and I need my coffee to wake up also. So it’s hard. There has been some mornings I definitely had to skip it. But lately I have been introducing it again. I have tried drinking the Folgers half Caffeine kind and it has been pretty nice.
