Is crossdressing bad?

I've never done crossdressing before but know some people who do it. Is it bad? Why do people do it? I don't understand.

I'm not at all into cross dressing, but I do remember playing around as a kid with a wig and some high heals. I remember it being really difficult to walk and it got me thinking, what would it be like to be a woman. For a stage I really wanted to be, just to satisfy some sexual curiosity. As a straight male I am dumfounded by the beauty of women. I guess I had this fantasy of experiencing being in a woman's body, just for a little wile, and dressing up as a women was the closest I could get. I grew out of it because I'm quite glad to be a man. Any tree is a lavatory.

I was into crossdressing but grew out of it.
Check out my journal about that.

Tldr:
Crossdressing was a way to cope with pain for me. Just like p0rn was.

Whether I consider it bad or not depends on the intent behind it. In English pantomime or Japanese kabuki for example, it's just a cultural thing and I pay it no mind. I start to take issue with it when you see people use it as a vehicle to push their own fetishes on people or just generally be obnoxious and annoying. In theory crossdressing is fine. In practice a lot of maladjusted weirdos do it.

we wear types of clothing because it either places us in a mood or attitude we like, or it it causes a sexual energy increase, nothing wrong with increasing your sexual energy, its still energy, but if your someone like me or relates to me, were we are ok with our current sexual energy,we dont need to do anything or wear anything to increase it.Right now im happy with my nofap count, i dont crave PMO right now, i feel my energy increase a lil day by day, i dont want to ruin anything by purposely increasing sexual energy,so i well not wear something i consider sexy

Growing up I played with barbie dolls and watched disney princess films (princess and the frog is the best btw). Pink is my favourite colour too. But never really had any desire to crossdress. Closest I've ever done to 'crossdressing' was wearing my sisters high socks and that was because we didn't have heating and it was freezing so doesn't count. There is this guy I know who goes around wearing a skirt in public and I think that's too far. It's a personal thing not something to show in public at least in my view.

This being said however, I'm gonna need to watch Universal Soldier b2b with Hardcore Henry after reading this.

It is funny you should mention this. But last year my neighbour started crossdressing in public. Most of the time, he does not do it. But sometimes, he goes out in a long black dress. It doesn't bother me, even though it is not a common sight to see a bloke (with a large bushy beard and no effort to look feminine whatsoever) go out for the day in a long gown. o_O

I have no desire to dress in women's clothes cause I like being a man and I want to be nothing else.

However I don't necessarily have a problem with the practice. I do have a problem with the people who tend to do it, because most people I meet who do practice it tend to be severely mentally ill, delusional, and horribly perverted.

I don't mind it and living in Africa I'm not exposed to it. Have seen it in Europe. It's maybe a little strange but I don't mind. As long as no one is getting hurt.

Men have worn clothing that is similar to a 'dress' or 'skirt' more often, historically, than trousers. And wigs and make up, for that matter. I've not cross dressed, but ive worn a kilt (in Scotland) and once you get over the initial weird feeling, its very comfortable and liberating. Even 'masciline'!

As for 'actual' cross dressing - it's fine, of course, but remember that while you are in 'recovery' your brain is going to try and trick you into perverted things. Are you sure that wanting to dress up like a lady isnt satisfying some sexual fetish? Or persuing an illicit thrill, similar to what you might once have experienced with porn? Just an idea. If its all quite innocent and you are sure it wont affect your recovery, then go for it!

There was a guy not local but across the border it was national news. He had been exposed as secretly been a crossdresser porn addict killed his wife and 3 children before killing himself .

Can't tell if I am impressed or disturbed. At home it's fine but in public seems a bit far.
