From just a PE perspective, is edging actually good? I know for many of us who are or have been addicted to PMO this is of course bad because it imbalances the mind from the chemicals your receiving, but I am only talking from a person who has only PE.

Good for PE but bad for your brain, so isn't worth IMO.

Edging is exactly what gave me my PE I'm pretty sure. I trained myself to reach the cusp of orgasm extremely quickly and then maintain that high. Definitely not a good idea in my book.

But I meant edging without coming.

Ahhhhh right yeah, it’ll be premature ejaculation coz I suppose the idea is that edging helps build resistance so they last longer, thanks for the help

pegym is a forum dedicated to penis enlargement & more generally sexual enhancement in men. Lots of discussions related to premature ejaculation can be found there too.

    Yes, it does.

But if you want to use edging to prolong your ejaculation, you have to take some precautions during masturbation.

When masturbating, try to gradually increase the levels of pleasure instead of trying to ejaculate and stop masturbating. So start slowly, don't be in a hurry, the important thing here is not to get close to ejaculation and stop, but NOT to get close to it. Set aside 30 minutes of your day to do this training, but look for a place where you are sure you will not be disturbed. Many people prefer to do this after midnight because at that time you will not receive visitors and probably no one will enter your room, lock the door whenever possible.

It is important to note that you should NOT ejaculate at the end of masturbation for 6 days in a row. Take 1 day of the week to ejaculate, and only that day you can ejaculate.

People who condemn edging in this FORUM don't have premature ejaculation so they do not need this practice. But only those who have this problem know how bad it is for their sex life, I say this because I already had it, and what cured me was exactly trying to teach my brain that masturbation / stimulation does not mean ejaculation.

Thanks man! This is really solid advice coming from someone really understands me. I am not doing this for myself but to save a relationship.

So I’m in the situation where I’m slowly recovering from PIED and performance anxiety, but am now finding that I have challenges with PE during sex. How do you increase stamina without risking falling back into ED? Such a slippery slope on both sides here:/

Yes, i think edging is absolutely necessary to deal with PE. One way or another, PE is essentially over sensitivity to stimulus, and the only way to reduce the over sensitivity is controlled and progressive exposure to the stimulus. Imagine 2 guys with incredibly sensitive skin - one guy sits in a dark room 24/7 (all the guys on here that say NOOOOOO never edging never!!) the other guy goes outside for 5 mins twice a day, after 2 weeks, 3 times a day and so on. Which guy has the greater chance of combating his sensitive skin? Exactly the same thing with PE and edging. I have severe PE, like single digit seconds severe. I edge every day. I pay real close attention to my levels of arousal. It also gives you the chance to manage the point of no return, developing the ability to STOP - just before the PONR, the more you do it, the more control you will develop.
Im also experimenting with medication, dapoxetine is the first FDA approved med for PE, and also Fortacin spray which desensitizes the penis - proper large scale test have shown these 2 things to be effective, increasing penetration time 4 - 6 times longer.
Also something that helped me is to develop a "enjoying the trip is more important than reaching the destination" mindset. Ejaculation is simply the final stage of a long process of sexual experiences which should be enjoyed in themselves - try to stop seeing everything simply as a precursor to orgasm. Orgasm is the simply the icing on the cake - enjoy the cake and concentrate on that, less on orgasm.

I mean, you are right. I have PrE and also PIED. But I think it's better to firstly recover from PIED 100% to back to practices such edging.

I agree with others who have said that edging can be effective for PE. However, the issue that arises is that it can make it harder to abstain from pornography, especially for those who haven't made it far enough in their streak. I would say try to get to a no porn streak of about 60 days before you attempt to practice edging, or 30 days if you're in a relationship.

When you do edge, make sure that you're taking time afterward to release the built up sexual energy. This is honestly a good technique for anyone doing nofap, regardless of whether or not they're edging for PE recovery. Just as a note, energy here is used as a metaphor sensory experience of arousal.

    1. Find the hot points in your body. Usually that would be your dick, but open yourself to your entire body.
    2. Breathe deeply and slowly
    3. With each inhale, imagine the "energy" in your hot point is moving from that point down into one of your legs
    4. With the exhale, imagine that this energy and tension in that leg is leaving out of your mouth with the breath
    5. Repeat this once more with that leg
    6. Then, repeat twice with the other leg, your stomach, each side of the chest, each arm, your throat, and your head
    7. The final step is to release all of the energy that is still in the hot point, so just breathe into that point and then allow that energy to exit with the exhale
If you practice edging just before you sleep, then doing this technique will also help you get to the sleep and have higher quality sleeps. This will also counteract the effects that edging may have on your brain, as well as teach you to control your sexual energy in general.

While I do think that porn is a contribution to PE, I still don't understand on exactly why this is. You would think that someone that has been looking at porn would be desensitized to sex and naked women so the arousal level would be difficult to reach thus getting an orgasm more difficult during sex. But this doesn't seem the case.
Can someone enlighten me on how porn causes PE?

I think it honestly depends on a lot of factors. For myself, it gave me DE, then it gave me PIED. After I solved PIED, I had PE. Did you have PE when you were watching pornography, or did you only start noticing your PE recently?
