Is Ejaculation Even Necessary?

Alice Stockham, the Nation's sixth female doctor born in 1833 once said,

"Men, like animals, become perverted sexually and victims of an exaggerated sexual craving when masturbation and intercourse are permitted. It is degrading to allow men and boys a seminal emission without rational and proper cause. Unless procreation is desired, ensure that the final propagative orgasm be entirely eliminated."

I ask the group: If procreation is not desired, is there a legitimate NEED for the male to orgasm?

Further, if there is no need other than for procreation, isn't the male orgasm simply a detriment to his well being?
