I have always had a fertile imagination and since starting my No PM i have noticed that i am playing out fantasies and scenes in my head more and more. As yet I have been able to stop and do something else to take my mind off those thoughts but is it going to slow my reboot and if so any tips on how to stop them?

Yes put porn blockers on every device.

  3. I am the same way and can play out entire fantasy scenarios in my head. I realized that often these idle visualizations would lead me straight to P, searching for images/stories that matched them. Since I started my reboot I became aware of exactly how much I fantasize, especially at nite before falling asleep - which often would turn into an all-nite P binge instead. I've learned what helps me is to keep busy reading, doing crosswords, playing a videogame, etc. - anything - until I can barely keep my eyes open, and only then turn off the light and go to sleep. I don't give a chance for the idle thoughts to float around during that particular time now.

  4. The fantasies aren't the real issue. It's whether you hold on to them and allow them to prepare a relapse. Try agreeing with yourself that you do not want to hold on to them and do not feel bad about having them in the first place. Everyone does.

I think it does slow your reboot down a bit. Last time I tried a reboot I went 3 months without PMO, however I was constantly having sexual thoughts and fantasies which led me to start edging. Just try your best to keep busy by working out or even reading a book or something to take your mind of those thoughts. Lately I have been working out a lot during the day which makes me feel very tired at night and as a result has decreased the amount sexual urges I have since I'd rather just go to sleep. Good luck!!

It doesnt matter if they will slow down your reboot, there is no way to stop them completley, you can distract yourself temporary but they will come back, especially durring the night. Just continue not watching P and you will have them not so often and after a long streak your brain will replace your filthy fantasies with something more natural.

  7. I had to reply to this and say how true it is for me. I'm actually having romantic thoughts about women again, instead of just shallow sexual fantasies. My ability to connect with them as multi-dimensional people and a desire to have a real human relationship with one is slowly returning, now that my brain hasn't been bathed in P for awhile.

Meditation seems to be a good way to control your thoughts.
If you stress yourself when ever you catch yourself thinking about it, you probably make it worse.
It's a natural response of your instincts to let you sometimes think about it.
Fantasies about romancing around with a woman = good, fantasies around crazy porn = bad.

But as time passes, your neuro-pathways will shrink more and more as long as you keep your eyes off from porn.
