Hi everyone. Wishing the best of luck on this journey to each one of you..

I have a simple question. So, we start and try to stay away from watching porn and the good count of days is 90 days to stay away from it.

Does this program also mean that we shouldn't even masturbate at all during those days ? or can I still masturbate and the main problem i should be fighting is to not watch porn.

I think during these hard days - it's even harder to date someone. so better to stay alone, but staying for 90 days without even masturbation is too cruel, don't you think ?

    Thanks...

Of course, nothing in life that's amazing/good is not easy to reach. What I am focusing here is that from your experience, If one can still masturbate, is it still a good idea ? or noFap just suggests to stay all the way from porn as well as masturbation ?

Hard Mode - 90 days without porn and masturbation orgasm
Monk Mode - 90 days without porn orgasm.

You are talking about the Monk mode, and yes you,can do it.
In my opinion is better for you if you try the hard mode, since you are reprogramming your Brain to his normal status . Deny yourself Orgasm dopamine will let you feel like a zombie for a while (for me, the first 20 days) but then it will be ok.
Monk mode only if you mostly "adjusted" your brain from porn drug, or you will feel a shit amd desire more porn (because a normal fap will not satisfy you, if you usually watch porn, you will desire a porn orgasm).

    all the rest is willpower.

Thanks so much . That's what I needed to hear. One quick question though. I started workouts, but the problem in my case is that because of my profession(web developer), It usually means that I spend most of my time with computer. Would you recommend staying away from work at least for the first 20 days ? but if I do, then I am not sure what other fun I can find due to Covid which means i am mostly home..

    Absolutely it’s not cruel.
It’s true that Masturbating without porn is far better than masturbating with porn. But I don’t think you should masturbate either. If you masturbate without orgasm that means you’re edging. Edging is way more dangerous than a relapse. You can have sex and have orgasm beside going on 90 days of no porn and masturbation but it will be considered as an orgasm relapse. Sex is ok, you can have sex as much as you want. But masturbation and porn are dangerous. If you’re going for 90 days, you can prefer hard mode or soft mode. In hard mode - No porn, masturbation, orgasm. In soft mode - only no porn.

If I try sex, I kind of have doubts since it's really about imagination and how my brain now holds all porn images. While having sex, this will be a problem, i am sure.. I think at least I will wait for 30 days to see how I changed and what can be done then...

normaly i suggest a digital detox. I put my smartphone in a trash bucket and buy a dumb phone like old nokia so when i am outside i don't watch useful things but enjoy the world or a book. You should use your computer only for work, sadly you are on that side that have to work with computer. In my opinion just try to use it less. Is like a mechanism, is not easy to stay on computer and don't write porn if you are addicted.

Take care, 30 days is nothing...for an addicted 7 days without porn is a lot, but for someone that do it frequently is nothing. Anyway i remember that when i started to dream again in my sleep was after 2 weeks, and this was the most important things that happend to me since know and do nofap.

Lmao. I feel what ur saying.. Most of the guys on here have masturbated their who young and adult lives so its not unusual to hear that it seems cruel.. But thats the whole objective of nofap.. To abstain from PMO.. Thanks for the kind words and good luck to you aswell friend..

  14. I don't know correct answer for your situation, but I do know a couple times in life I forced myself to masturbate without porn or porn images in my head and I didn't feel shame afterwards. I also fear never fapping ever if you are single and no sex is kind of what they call sexual anorexia, but where is the line drawn for each individual between necessary no engaging in any orgasm ever and sexual anorexia? I do t fully know. All I know is that I have NEVER fapped to porn without feeling miserable, empty and full of shame after.

I really really liked this answer. Getting back to a natural sexuality without feeling the uncontrollable urge for stimuli like porn is what I'm on here for. I generally feel perfectly fine about masturbation and think it also is quite natural. I'm also not ashamed of talking about it in public or with friends because as I said - to me, it's something very natural.

I've been on NoFap before and tried to refrain from porn and masturbation. After a long break I'm now back but only refrain from porn as (again, speaking only for myself) I found that my porn addiction is painfully real. For masturbation, I am allowing myself to, but only without looking at porn or stimulating images. Without those things, the urge to masturbate at all becomes very rare but when it comes I want to allow myself to explore my natural, untainted desires as sexuality is very important to me and I am and wish to stay a sex-positive person. Just all-together without a computer screen involved.

Hope this perspective helps, feel free to drop a message @ggg20 :)

I entered 1 year ago and monk mode was masturbation withoyt porn. Maybe hard mode is nosex. Nice provocation anyway.

  17. Thats some beta male pleasure crap. Stop it.

  18. For me personally, in soft mode, I try to just have sex but no masterbating or porn for 90 days. My goals aren't semen retention, but to cure minor PIED and quit porn.

If I feel the need to masterbate, I do...I just try to stay away from porn. I get regular sex, so nofap is easier for me than others. Don't torture yourself, it's your body after all! I think hard mode is only for those with severe PIED tbh, moderate masterbating shouldn't be too bad.

I'm not recommending it, but there's toys out there for me to explore and enjoy, instead of pixels on a screen!
